Is that a third eye on Qa’ani’s forehead?

Never mind, just a laser sighting beam.

“Wrong..... we are not isolationist cowards as you wish”

You imply an untruth. How silly.

The ruse to pull our troops out of Iraq was in reality a lure to pull the Iranian leaders in.

Thanks for reminding us.

The democraps who are now screaming “escalation” where a few weeks ago screaming “committment”.

What f*ing putzes they are. But Trump has their number.

Just as he’s blowing up their Iranian buddies with drone strikes, he’s blowing up their stupid arguments with headline grabbing actions.

Our drone brought Peace to their flesh, by making it pieces. The Sword of God’s messengers strikes from the sky, sending devils to their father.

Conventional and unconventional strike does NOT need to be based close. As others have said to you, you apparently do not know about the changes made to the military in recent years, including the development and deployment of more remote platforms and standoff weapons.

There is no need to move any US personnel or assets closer to Iran. There is no benefit to the US to move our forces closer. The in-your-face move will only benefit the Iranians. Why should we do it?

From your lips to ears of PDJT.

Though three weeks may be a bit optimistic, it will be interesting to watch how fast Iran would jump into the 21st century western ideal.

Iraq has a democratic government and every government since the invasion has been popularly elected.

How is that a success? Why should we care at all about that? Whether there is democracy in Iraq is not our problem, it is not a success or a benefit to us if there is.

If you have a moronic criteria for success, you can call any failure a success.

"If the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq had been remotely successful,"

It was entirely successful. The problem is our leaders don't or refuse to understand the Islamic way. We created a vacuum that was filled by competing/warring sects and tribes. Until the Western world realizes there is no appeasing those people, we will be immersed in their age old squabbles.

And yes, I realize if we completely pull out of Iraq, it will cause another vacuum. I say so be it. However, once some entity attacks Americans or our strategic interests, go ballistic on them. No holds barred, including collateral damage as in Germany and Japan.

But it’s really Obama who made the creeping Iranian takeover a fait accompli

You forgot that George W. Bush’s presidency and betrayal of conservatives was the cause of Obama’s election.

Lest you forget, the promotion of democracy abroad has been an abiding goal of US foreign policy for the past century. You might not agree with this policy, but that is the policy.

You sound like one of those CIA/State Dept. bureaucrats testifying before Adam Schitt's committee.

Since when does "an abiding goal of U.S. foreign policy" outweigh the interests of U.S. citizens here at home? I thought we elected Donald Trump because we got tired of that globalist sh!t.

If defending a US embassy from attack is globalist shit, the count me in.

I have no problem defending a U.S. embassy.

In this case, let's keep a couple of things in mind:

1. The embassy shouldn't even be there. Iraq is a sh!t-hole without a stable government and is basically a vassal state of Iran.

2. The U.S. didn't exactly "defend the embassy." If it did, the U.S. Marines inside the building would have mowed down the mutants who were attacking the place.
