The U.S. government on Thursday began sending asylum-seekers back to Nogales, Mexico, to await court hearings that will be scheduled roughly 350 miles (563 kilometers) away in Juarez, Mexico.
Authorities are expanding a program known as Remain in Mexico that requires tens of thousands of asylum seekers to wait out their immigration court hearings in Mexico. Until this week, the government was driving some asylum seekers from Nogales, Arizona, to El Paso, Texas, so they could be returned to Juarez.
Now, asylum-seekers will have to find their own way through dangerous Mexican border roads.
About 30 asylum seekers were sent to Nogales, Mexico, on Thursday, said Gilda Loureiro, director of the San Juan Bosco migrant shelter in Nogales, Sonora.

Any are better than none, but lets pump those numbers up to about 3,000,000 every 6 months, make it retroactive to Oct 3, 1993 and eliminate the any/all refugee status given. Then we can start talking.

Good start- now if we build the wall, and deport as many illegals as we can find, we will be saving between $400 BILLION DOLLARS and $600 BILLION DOLLARS every single year-

I really like making them wait in Mexico, the problem is keeping them in mexico. We are catching alot them crossing because they dont want to wait in Mexico. Alot of the people we are catching these days are Cubans.

“Catch and Release” has ended ONLY for asylum seekers.
80% of the border jumpers who do NOT ask for asylum get Catch and Release within two weeks.
How do I know that?
We have just 50,000 beds for long term immigration detainees.
Almost all those beds are full, almost every night.
We arrest about 40,000 new non-asylum border jumpers every month.
30,000 to 35,000 will get Catch and Release within two weeks, because there is no place to put them.
This is just a test case (in my opinion) to see how the left reacts. Do they simply accept it, or do they go to court.
I believe President Trump will win in the courts in the end but he has to let the left do what they do.
If they (the left) don’t go to the courts then it is a big win for the President as it means he has been able to flip some courts to the point that the left knows they no longer have a guaranteed win. Without that gurantee they may not risk losing in the courts.
What about California?
