At this point, it’s pretty clear to anyone that real purpose of hate crime laws is to give prosecutors wide latitude to do whatever they like as per their political leanings.

Reading this article really burns my butt. More so because most of my Jewish friends and relatives blindly vote for these bozos because they’ve been taught since birth that the “Democrats are our friends” and the “Republicans hate us”.
As much as possible, I try to deflect political discussions with these people, or at least tune them out while they are on a rant. Keeps me from calling them “Self-Loathing K!ke$” and running away from these otherwise mostly normal people.

A hate crime isn’t a hate crime if committed by a protected class. So instead of looking up all the protected classes, a simple rule of thumb is that a hate crime must be committed by a White person.
These laws give prosecutors way too much discretion about using them or not. In cities run by liberals, that usally means it's only used against right wing perps, not left wing, as is going on in New York.
