Schumer, Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler and many other Democrats are hypocrites on steroids.

The Democrats are naked hypocrites who will say anything they think will advance them regardless of what they said 5 seconds prior?

20 years ago they were seriously arguing perjury was forgivable if it was about sex.

Today Democrats are seriously arguing asking questions about corruption in Ukraine is an impeachable offense if it affects Democrat political interests.

Geez.

Just goes to show how long these Swamprats have been in office and why we need to implement term limits.

It would be nice if these asshats truly were haunted by their past statements. Unfortunately, these things don't faze them at all. They simply ignore what they said before, which is no longer 'operative'. And the media doesn't cram it down their throats the way they do to a conservative who's caught in a similar situation.

The Framers of the Constitution never expected impartiality from the Senate.

Federalist #65 - Alexander Hamilton:

A well-constituted court for the trial of impeachments is an object not more to be desired than difficult to be obtained in a government wholly elective. The subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated POLITICAL, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself. The prosecution of them, for this reason, will seldom fail to agitate the passions of the whole community, and to divide it into parties more or less friendly or inimical to the accused. In many cases it will connect itself with the pre-existing factions, and will enlist all their animosities, partialities, influence, and interest on one side or on the other; and in such cases there will always be the greatest danger that the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.

The delicacy and magnitude of a trust which so deeply concerns the political reputation and existence of every man engaged in the administration of public affairs, speak for themselves. The difficulty of placing it rightly, in a government resting entirely on the basis of periodical elections, will as readily be perceived, when it is considered that the most conspicuous characters in it will, from that circumstance, be too often the leaders or the tools of the most cunning or the most numerous faction, and on this account, can hardly be expected to possess the requisite neutrality towards those whose conduct may be the subject of scrutiny.

whose past comments on then-President Bill Clinton's trial have come back to haunt them -- and in some cases undercut their message today.

Democrats = Hypocrisy. But it is indeed nice when their own words can be thrown right back at them as they look totally foolish.

Where are all the Democrat Media "fact-checkers" now?

That's why I wipe my posterior with any word written or spoken by a Media "fact-checker".

Both parties are hypocrites in this regard on almost all issues. The “deeply held” talking points switch depending on context. For example, impeachment and supreme court confirmations. Trump’s next appointment (may it happen in 2020) will show both parties completely flipping their “deeply held” convictions from the Merrick Garland appointment by Obama.

The difference is, the media repeats D talking points as if they were serious and largely ignores R talking points and the media will endlessly point out the R hypocrisy and largely ignore the D hypocrisy.

I'm old enough to remember when Democrat Senate Minority Leader "Lyin Tom" Daschle coordinated with the Clinton White House on impeachment, and the #FakeNews Media didn't whisper one word of protest...

Where have all the fact-checkers gone,
long time lying?
Where have all the fact-checkers gone,
long time ago?

sung to the tune of "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?"
