The Mrs. and I are both CCW holders, and she used to be heavily involved in the music in our church. Being that the platform could be the first target in an attack, we discussed privately with the senior pastor about packing heat in the services and he was very happy to know that we were armed, trained, willing and able to do the needful. He also stated we weren't the only ones, so that was a relief as well.
No greater regret in a time of crisis than to reach for a gun that's not there...

Grew up 20 miles from there in Irving (where Lee Harvey Oswald had his picture taken with the rifle) and grew up in the Church of Christ. This will slow down shootings in Texas, my guess is 2 or 3 women were packing too.

I live in Alabama. I go to a small country church. We have a security plan with an armed individual at the front door and all other doors locked. But I am sure, in the event of trouble, we would have at least four or five pulled, including the preacher.
