Anton "Tony" Wallace's daughter says she ran to her injured father
The daughter of one of two victims shot and killed Sunday morning at West Freeway Church of Christ is speaking out.
“You don’t think it’s going to hit home and the fact that it hit our home and someone that supports us and loves us and is our dad [is gone], that’s what hurts the most,” Tiffany Wallace said.
Wallace not only lost her father Anton “Tony” Wallace Sunday morning, but the 64-year-old was taken feet from her and in their house of worship.
“It just happened so fast,” she said.
Wallace was a husband, father, grandfather and a registered nurse.
He was also a deacon and lifelong member of West Freeway Church of Christ.
Wallace said her dad had just given out communion in the back of the church when she noticed a man she’d never seen before approach him.
"The guy just stood up from the pew, turn toward my dad and I guess he shot at the security guard,” she said.
Through the shots and chaos that ensued, she realized her dad had been hit.
“I ran toward my dad and the last thing I remember is him asking for oxygen and I was just holding him, telling him I loved him and that he was going to make it,” Wallace said.
He was rushed to the hospital, but it was too late.
“You just wonder why? How can someone so evil, the devil, step into the church and do this,” she said.
With few answers, the family can only remember the man who was steadfast in his faith and family.
“He was amazing. He was a godly person and even when we talked about going to heaven he always said, 'I’m always prepared,'" she said. “But you never thought this would happen.”
Yet even in her grief, the 32-year-old has found that forgiveness exists.
“I forgive him [the gunman] and that’s the hardest thing to say,” she said.
Wallace has expressed gratitude for the armed church member who also serves as a security guard for the parish for bringing down the gunman.
“He is a hero to me,” she said. “I’m just glad everybody’s OK. I know my dad is up there with his sister, his parents, in a wonderful place. Not in pain anymore… He’s just in peace now. I know he’s in good hands.”
Wallace also wanted to thank a nurse who was present and ran to help the injured and the entire congregation for their support and prayers.

Since all of these articles are coming out at roughly the same time I’m wondering if there was an embargo on reporting detail.
All churches should have an armed QRF, cpr training, blood clot, tournaquets , comms, etc. ...and take courses such as active shooter, stop the bleed, Etc.
This could have been a massacre if in an anti gun state/church.
Also, why no ID of the murderer? Had he been an NRA/MAGA hatter, he’d be plastered over everything. Probably Antifa incel liberal loser with a nudge from the ATF/FBI).
The 2nd person shot by gunman was in critical condition and passed away later today, just FYI
3 dead: slow draw armed parishioner, second was MR Wallace, unarmed holding the Holy Sacraments, and lastly, the murderer, shot in head by career FBI parishioner.

Gunman drew suspicion of security before shooting, Fort Worth-area church elder says

This article has a little information from the elder and then recycles quotes from the other 2 articles I have already linked.
In summary, he drew attention from several people and the woman who was quoted said that her family was going to move elsewhere in the church following communion but didn’t get that chance.
It’s possibly that the security officer who was shot was already on guard for potential trouble.
The woman also said that the shooter’s hair appeared to be fake.

Scumbags. Many headlines read “two killed in shooting.” They are demonic.
The old saying “When seconds matter, the police are minutes away” is so true in this instance- (As good as the police are, they just can’t be everywhere to protect everyoen all the time)-

The whole tragic incident took just 2 seconds from the time the gunman fired the first shot to the time he himself was shot- on the video the gunman shoots at the 16 second mark- then shoots again a second later, then the guard shoots the gunman at the 18 second mark- in the matter of only 2 seconds, three people were shot (Thankfully one of the people shot was the gunman!)-
It probably seemed like an eternity to the people that had to go through it- but it was only 2 seconds, and three people were shot- Thank God that the guard was so accurate- and so quick to recognize what was happening, not freeze, and react- otherwise things could have been much worse- Just goes to show how quickly and unexpectedly, and devastatingly things can go badly- the blink of an eye practically- Thank You Lord for that guard!
The other member of the church who died had cardiac arrest in the ambulance and died at the hospital.

I’ve read (but haven’t seen confirmation) that the guard who fired on the shooter was a former FBI agent. If so, it could account for his accuracy in the situation.
Lives were saved, no doubt.

you hear that a lot- but in this case it really did happen so fast- 2 seconds infact- between the time gunman first shot and when the gunman himself was shot- incredibly fast- fantastic reaction time and accuracy from that guard- but sadly the poor deacon didn’t make it-
Do we know who the perp was yet, and which demonrat candidate he supported?
Who was the shooter (bad guy)? Guessing not Trump supporter.

Yes, heartbreaking, but Sad as it is, thankfully the guard was able to stop the scumbag in only 2 seconds time to prevent even more tragedy-
Just sad that such evil has to exist in the world and that good and innocent people often are the victims-
