Still not retiring. These people cling to power
They’ll take his power from his cold, dead hands.
And pass it on to one of his relatives.
Still not retiring. These people cling to power
Maybe if they die while in office the Government (we) get to pick up all the funeral cost....
79 years old and fighting pancreatic cancer but will not give up power. That says a lot.....none of it altruistic.
He just might stick around long enough to cast his 2nd vote for impeachment if they do it all over again.
I’m pretty sure the Governor Kemp (R) would get to name the replacement until the election.
He will be 80 in February. There should be mandatory retirement age for representatives, senators and federal judges. If 2 terms is good enough for president, that should be about enough for others as well. I think the military has a 30 year rule. Maybe that should be implemented across the federal government.
That’s pretty sad. It’s time to get his house in order, seek forgiveness, spend time with loved ones.
They can't take it with them.
“...Still not retiring. These people cling to power...”
After they’re dead and buried, their hand pushes up thru the earth clutching for power. They’re blinded and insane by the quest and lust for power.
Check is autopen.
They'lll have to carry him out of The Capitol. Does he have a son waiting to run for the office? Or will his widow do so? I don't wish this on anyone, but Lewis has long overstayed his usefulness - if he ever had any - in D.C.
He is a politician. Politicians are all vain, hollow, narcissistic, and have nothing in their lives but money and power.
He just found out. I can see him at least start the process to see if it works before stepping down. I think most would. I mean would you immediately quit your job if you had stage 4 cancer? I think youd at least hold out until you see how things are going.
Hell he will die and they will just prop him up in the chamber like a puppet. Do I feel bad about about this....I won’t lose any sleep lets leave it at that.
