Quid Pro Pelo has something up her sleeve, something specific I’m sure. However, even if she didn’t, there’s an old adage (or there should be) about how power isn’t power unless you turn it on. Yeah. It’s politics. 200 years ago the rivalries between the British, the US, the Germans, Russians, French, etc was called “The Great Game” due to the competing empires or at least empire-like goals.
Now the great game is the day to day political wrangling that has to be exhausting.
As much as she’s an absolutely awful Speaker, not to mention criminal, Nancy is an expert at this game. You can’t just react to what’s going on right now, you have to anticipate 2 or 3 moves ahead (or more). Trump has been great at this so far - much much better than your average Republican - but this might be the biggest test yet.
