Democrat Nancy Pelosi’s delay in transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate “puts politics ahead of the US Constitution,” declares Peter Roff at Newsweek.
Pelosi claims she wants to be assured the Senate will hold a “fair” trial, yet that’s the height of political hypocrisy, given that the House’s impeachment process was so “manifestly unfair.”
Besides, “if Harvard’s Noah Feldman is right and the president is not deemed to have been impeached until the articles are forwarded,” why should the Senate prepare for a trial? Pelosi just wants “another bite of the apple.”
Democrats have been trying to impeach President Trump for “most of his administration,” and there’s word they may now try to impeach him a second time.
Just as Bill Clinton gave us “the permanent campaign,” Pelosi and her allies are giving America “the permanent impeachment.”
“Will it ever end?” asks Roff. “Probably not.”

The Constituion’s language WRT “fair trails” is intended to apply to the accused.....not the accusers.
Trump should just call them out. At this point, No-Case Nancy has basically called off the impeachment.

Sooner or later, Nancy rings the front doorbell. Mitch stamps out the fire at the front door. Then Nancy rings the doorbell at the Senate’s back door, forcing Mitch to track dog poop throughout the Senate. Mitch stamps out the second flaming bag of dog poop, getting his shoes even dirtier. (This seems to be the most accurate predicted plan for Impeachment.)
Speaker Nancy Pelosi has yet to send those articles to the Senate.

I expect that if the SocialDemocrats hold the House after November they will set up a permmanent Impeachment Committee. Chances are that after the impending census reshapes the House the Democrats will have a guaranteed number of seats near half and getting a few more will be the norm. I see then permanent SocDem House and a Senate that can still change hands for a couple of cycles longer.The Impeachment Committee will be active and produce Articles of Impeachment for any future Republican President.

Yeah. It’s politics. 200 years ago the rivalries between the British, the US, the Germans, Russians, French, etc was called “The Great Game” due to the competing empires or at least empire-like goals.
Now the great game is the day to day political wrangling that has to be exhausting.
As much as she’s an absolutely awful Speaker, not to mention criminal, Nancy is an expert at this game. You can’t just react to what’s going on right now, you have to anticipate 2 or 3 moves ahead (or more). Trump has been great at this so far - much much better than your average Republican - but this might be the biggest test yet.
