A teenager in France has been arrested after authorities say he tortured and killed a priest accused of sexually abusing him and his father.
The revenge killing occurred on Nov. 4 at 91-year-old priest Roger Matassoli’s house in Agnetz, Oise, France, where the 19-year-old, identified only as Alexandre V., was working as a housekeeper, according to the Daily Mail.
Alexandre claimed to have been sexually abused by Matassoli in the past. Alexandre’s father, Stephane, was also allegedly abused by the priest when he was a child. Matassoli was previously accused by at least four others of sexual abuse between 1960 and 2000.
Alexandre was initially arrested on the day of the priest’s murder but was not charged until Thursday because he was hospitalized for psychiatric reasons. The teenager told authorities he can’t remember killing the priest, whose body was found with signs of torture.
Matassoli was removed from his duties a decade ago because of sexual abuse allegations, though the church reportedly kept him on the payroll until last year.
Stephane said his father killed himself when he found out about the abuse. Alexandre also reportedly tried to kill himself after the murder.
“This man has shattered a whole family,” Stephane said.

Some kind of fixation. His dad committed suicide, and the priest was a known sexual abuser. He could have focused his anger on the priest and become fixated on the guy, his mind building up rationalizations.

I bet the pope is overdue. Nothing that whack job does or says is surprising anymore.
There was a defrocked priest by the name of Geoghan (gay-gun) that was in a MA state prison on a molestation conviction.
“It just happened...” that one of his fellow inmates in his cell block was a previous victim of his, and was in on a murder conviction.
The former priest was trapped in a cell, and I think stomped to death by said victim.

I’m confused too and would like to know the timeline. The boy was molested by the priest in 2009(?) The boy told his dad in 2010(?), his dad then confessed that he had been molested by the same priest and killed himself due to guilt (?) The boy then grows up plotting revenge, gets the job which gives him access in 2018(?), and exacts?. Poorly written partial news story. Screenplay writes itself.
Evil begets evil. Forgiveness is the only out. Can’t do God’s job.
