Even senior House Democrats indicated to Fox News last week they thought the House would send the articles to the Senate right away.

So the spiteful San Fran Gran Nan screwed everyone. Well played.

Could be all, most or some of the above.

The best decisions are often not made for a single reason, but for multiple reasons. Pluses and minuses, etc.

I’m no lawyer but I have a suspicion that perpetrating a fraud that results in a failed impeachment is a crime Schiff and Nadler have committed that hasn’t actually happened until the Articles get transmitted.

Number 9 is the answer and Trump has been baiting her all along. Pelosi fell into a trap.

Screw the formalities, the democrats have publicly stated what they're charging Trump with. The Senate should start sending out subpoenas and taking testimony with Federal Marshals hauling in any of the idiots like Hunter Biden and Joe Biden who have no BS immunity from being hauled in during a session of the House like Nancy and Schiff do.

Escort every single Ukrainian that twat who pretended to be a wonderful ambassador refused to grant a visa to the US because they were going to testify against Hunter Biden straight to the Senate hearings. Then drag that lying wench in again and confront her with her obvious and illegal protection of doper Hunter Biden.

After the above warm up, start hauling in all the people they know were part of the Obama administration who illegally accessed NSA taps for personal and political gain and there are dozens of them including Barry the Fag prez himself.

imo, holding the cloud of impeachment over trump’s head gives the DS their best criminal defense.

as long as the “impeachment” questions are floated every minute of everyday by MSM, it will be difficult to indict & file charges against all the DS crooks

Reading something the other day....holding on to the articles til RBG has to be replaced.

So much speculation about her health and what seems to be more frequent trips for treatments. Could the end be nigh? Are the Dem’s aware of some things, we’re not? Remember when they outed that pharmacy they all use and the pharmacist commented that if the American people knew the medications that some of Congress is on, they’d be horrified?

If so, what better way to delay actions for a Senate confirmation of the next SCOTUS Justice then dropping the impeachment paperwork at the same time?

OK

Tell schmuckie he'll get everything he wants

Let nazi pee lousy know she'll get everything she wants

Accept the articles of impeachment ....

and sit on them until both are voted out of office .... or just .... forever.

Tell them you're waiting until you can feel assured the Republicans will give you a fair trial and right now .... you're not so sure.

Go home, play golf, retire.

They know this is as far as they can get. They only wanted an impeachment so that they could sway voters in 2020 by saying “Trump is impeached”. They’re basically creating their own dirt on him for 2020, for whatever Democrap candidate that runs against him.

Revenge for charging the company her son, Paul Pelosi Jr. co-founded, with criminal fraud. Funny how she had to rush the vote, and funny her son’s company was charged on the same day as the impeachment vote. What a coincidence. It’s like she is sending a message or something. lol

Reasons #8 - #12 are all pretty much the same thing. The House controls the timeline, the agenda, and denies ending this farce in the Senate.

8.By holding the articles, Pelosi could dictate when a Senate trial could begin. After all, the Senate is pretty much bound to go through the motions of a trial at least. Perhaps Pelosi could send the articles in the early fall – right before the presidential election.

9.Pelosi has known how to get under Trump’s skin. Consider how Trump talked about how he wandered around alone at the White House last Christmas during the government shutdown. The president said just the other day he wanted a speedy trial. By holding onto the articles, Pelosi could deny the president his most prominent wish – and essentially rent space in Trump’s head. The president thought this would all be done by mid-January. Not now.

10.Republicans may soon start to demand that the speaker send over the articles post-haste. Republicans repeatedly have talked about how unfair the House impeachment process was to the president. But, by holding the articles, Pelosi also could goad Republicans into what some saw as an overzealous defense of Trump.

11.By stalling the articles in perpetuity, Pelosi could block the president from his chief wish: exoneration by the Senate. Holding the articles could trick Trump into a misstep and thwart him from saying the Senate rebuked what many Republicans called an overreach by the House.

12.By keeping the articles in the House, Pelosi would maintain control, instead of Trump. McConnell wouldn’t have control either. With the articles of impeachment in limbo, everyone else would be off balance – except Pelosi.

With Pelosi holding Impeachment over the President like a Sword of Damocles, Barr cannot declassify the FISA and release it's impact. FISA release would indicate that Obama, Hillary, and the Deep State all committed numerous crimes.

The Constitution says NOTHING about "sending the articles over." The House already impeached the President. Per the Constitution, the ball is now in the Senate's court. McConnell should have stated that fact on December 18th, and set a date for the trial in the Senate already. It would have robbed Pelosi of her stall tactic.

Irrelevant, so called “impeachment” will always be on the “hold” with this group, even if so called “articles” never existed.

Forget a Senate Impeachment Trial with Dem witnesses.

I want to hear the Dems stuttering to defend themselves in court in response to being indicted.

The McGhan court case is supposed to be resolved on Jan 3 2020. My guess is that Nancy is waiting for the possibility of being right on the obstruction of Congress charge but it looks doubtful.

It is all about controlling the narrative . Once the process passes to the Senate the RATs no longer control the circus. Get a Writ of mandamus from the DC circuit court forcing the House to pass the articles over.

My own take is some combination of the below:
1. She wants to go into the Fall 2020 Election season saying Trump was impeached without any resolution. She does not want Trump to be acquitted by the Senate. She especially does not want Trump bragging about his acquittal.
2. The House is probably mulling additional articles of impeachment. She hopes they will be stronger than what she has now.
3. She thinks waiting will give the Media time to put pressure on the weak Willies in the Senate (Murkowski, Collins, and Romney).
4. By claiming the Senate is not being “fair”, she is hoping to tip the Senate in 2020.

MOST IMPORTANT - Mostly, she is using it as an insurance policy. If Trump is re-elected in 2020 and the Senate either goes (D) or the (R) majority thins, then she will submit the articles for sure. Assuming, of course, that she keeps her majority in the House. Given the number of Rs retiring, this is probably a given though.

Not shown in article:

14. The articles are being withheld as an insurance policy in the event there are any SCOTUS vacancies (e.g. Ginsburg) in 2020. The impeachment trial will be used to delay any other Senate business so that Trump cannot get a new justice confirmed by the Senate before it recesses prior to the November election.

Or perhaps she knows something. Like they only have one or two RINOs to sway to get the vote to convict and the holiday break...isn’t.

It is simpler than that. I believe she is waiting to see what the ruling is on the McGhann hearing on January 3rd, which will give guidance as to whether McGhann can ignore the House subpeona or not. If they say he can, I believe she will go ahead and move forward. If they say that he must answer, then she will apply maximum pressure on McConnell and the Senate.

Can she legally hold onto them until after the 2020 election? What if they win the Senate? They’re probably resigned to losing the Presidency. If they put all their energy into taking back the Senate could they then conduct a sham trial there too?
