Rachel Maddow says 'implosion' of NRA would be 'biggest' political story if not for impeachment

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow claimed Tuesday night that the "implosion" of the National Rifle Association (NRA) would be the biggest political news story if it weren't for the impeachment of President Trump.

Maddow began by touting the NRA's "legendary" power and major influence over politicians -- and then highlighted the rather turbulent year for the prominent guns rights organization. This included the revelation of Russia agent Maria Butina's attempt to infiltrate the group during the 2016 election and reports of the nonprofit's suspicious spending, which sparked an avalanche of lawsuits and investigations.

we only left NRA to join far more 2A-protective associations (that make less compromises with the Stalinista gun-grabbers)

I am still an NRA member but will make no contributions beyond that. Wayne really needs to go.

In order to truly support the cause, I also joined the GOA and the Second Amendment Foondation.

Butina was not a spy. She was an innocent girl, who thought that Russia needed 2A rights. She was an innocent but easy target for the FBI coup. They could tied “Russia”, to the NRA, and make Trump’s NRA support look Russian. She literally became a political prisoner.

No patriotic American can support the FBI any longer. Nor the CIA.

She does have a point, the NRA has been slow motion train wreck for quite a while now. Charlton Heston gave it some new blood and vision, but it has been fighting at the top, and mismanaged for a long time. It has driven me crazy with its constant fund raising and yet its inaction (or token action) on local gun control legislation.

Wasn't Lisa Page supposed to be on her show the other day?

I haven't seen or heard a thing about it.

I was going to quit over the endless phone calls for Viagra (there’s a message in there) and overpriced coins, but eventually decided they had the right enemies and I would stand with them.

Buy *quality* American guns/ammo/products. Do not fund companies that ship crap and tell us to be happy with it. Colt, Remington, Kimber, I’m looking at you.

IIRC, John Paul Jones won that battle.

With its national HQ in Virginia, NRA has no choice but to jump in with both feet. No to registration/confiscation, no to Red Flag, no to UBC, no to one gun a month, they must stand like a stone wall against it all.

Governor Babykiller may jump stupid and send mobs of thirdworlds to surround the NRA building. Plenty of those in NoVa. Good PR for our side if he does.

"It has driven me crazy with its constant fund raising and yet its inaction (or token action) on local gun control legislation."

Well the NRA has to compete with the Soros and Bloombergs not to mention the lame stream media after all.

I've been a member for 40 or so years (Endowment Member now). I live in Florida and the NRA has done some good work here. They pioneered "shall issue" CWPs here in 1987 and the State preemption of local gun control laws. The ten year "sunset" provision in the so called Federal assault weapon and hi-cap magazine ban was there thanks to the NRA. Right now there is a BS constitutional amendment that Bloomberg and his pals are attempting to put on the 2020 ballet here. That amendment will ban almost all semi-auto long guns in Florida.

If the NRA hadn't been there in the 60's and 70's, GOA would be nothing but a Nostalgia Club.

Without the NRA, the globalist would have taken your rights and your guns 40 years ago.

It would have been over already.
