20%? pardon me for being underwhelmed.
‘20%? pardon me for being underwhelmed.’
Trump will increase his share of the black vote to about
12%, with the increase completely in the male vote; not a significant number...

I expect the next presidential election to be as close as the last one (due to Democrat cheating). So this shift is significant.
But you do have a point. 20% is a low number. For decades blacks have been only been presented one side of the story. Hopefully, this will change.
Blacks usually vote demonicRAT at about a 95% clip so even a 5 point drop will spell disaster for demonicRATS.
Hispanics* vote demonicRAT at about a 75% rate. A 5 point drop in support also spells disaster for 'RATS. And President Trump has made great inroads on that front as well.
*there's no such thing. Libturds made up the word for class identity purposes.
From 8% to 20%...that is a HUGE shift and more than sufficient to eviscerate the Democrats.
20% of Hillary’s votes were from black voters. If President Trump can draw 20% of the black vote instead of just 8%, that is almost the margin of his 2016 popular vote loss. If Trump can pull 30% support from black voters, that would put him outside the margin of fraud even for democrats and union thugs.
Black females are going to be 97/3 for Democrats for a long time coming. If trump gets 30 or 35 percent that translates into 60-70 percent black males. I have no data to back this up. My personal experience is even upper middle class black females are Christian but die hard democrats. I dont get it.
You’re not pardoned at all for a silly, snarky comment :)
Almost THREE TIMES the usual vote is Tremendous.
Whether you’re underwhelmed or not
If Trump and the GOP starts to pull 20% of the black vote its game over for Dems....
I'm sorry; but, for blacks to be supporting a Republican by any double-digit number IS impressive. They usually go, almost, 100% Democrat.
I think his speech in Detroit, when he was candidate Trump, started to make them actually think about what the Dem party has NOT done for them.
The question he asked, "what have you got to lose?", was right on point and made them start quesitoning.
I think I read once that if the Dem party lost 20% of the black vote, they would never be elected to anything again. So, that 20% is bigger than you seem to think.
A four point shift in the final total from Rat to Republican would certainly be welcome.
More would be great. But if he does draw 20%, he wins hands down. And if that 20% is of a reduced Democrat turnout, thats better than 20% of a higher turnout. And you might expect that a low Democrat turnout would come easier than sudden conversion of 20% of a high turnout.
You might be underwhelmed, but I would be congratulating blacks in general for having attained political competitiveness - so that the Democrats cant take their vote for granted while paying off the teachers unions and doing bupkis for the children of black voters.
If blacks show some independence, both parties will respond more to them. You and I might worry about their effect on the Republican Party (considering them overwhelmingly liberal) but to the extent that a substantial fraction of them transcend that image, both parties will be caused to improve.
20% of 12% is 2.4% of the total votes. Add that to Trump's 2016 results and you get a landslide.
Democrats must get 90% of the black vote to win. 80% won't cut it.
