I always thought the name Ram Dass was a private joke even if his Guru gave it to him. He had to know how it sounds.

The key words here are “his own.” This is not of God. It is against God and thus is of God’s enemy, Satan. It sounds like he was misled by the Deceiver--- and had a big hand in misleading thousands of others.
