The Virginia politicians are insane.

What do they other family, friends, patriots, Constitutionalists and even some conservative are going to happen when people start getting killed?

The President may have to step in and arrest the Governor of Virginia.

Culpeper is a fast-growing bedroom community for DC, cant believe many of those new residents don’t support the sheriff and will mount a well-funded challenge against him.

just another example of blatant hypocrisy when people try to equivocate over sanctuary cities depending on whether it’s for illegal immigrants or for second amendment rights.

The sleeping giant is just beginning to get pissed off.

Who will enforce this unconstitutional law? Will the progressives be able to turn American citizens against each other?

Now that I think about it, that’s the main pattern used by the Democratic party.

So many boat accidents so little time. People should move all the identified weapons out of state until they can vote this unAmerican bast*rd out of office. That will be cheaper than losing them and buying them again later.

they’re just part of an effort by the gun lobby to stoke fear

Keep telling yourself that and one day it is probably going to be quite unpleasant when you realize just exactly how wrong you are. You are not going to want to be who you are when that time arrives.

The first shot of the War Between the States was NOT fired at Fort Sumter.

It was fired, two years earlier at Harpers Ferry.

Ironically, guns were the spark.

Nothing’s going to happen. Virginia has 180,000 hunters, which outnumber all the LEOs and NG troops. Even if only half fight, the gov’t is outnumbered. They might make examples of a few elderly guys w/ firearms, but I doubt they have the stones for a full confrontation.

The Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia is correct about the laws of Virginia. But, this law is likely Unconstitutional and this case will undoubtedly rise to the level of the Supreme Court for a decision. Meanwhile, The AG must enforce the existing state law. How will he do that? At least 90 counties are resisting. Who are the owners of these affected weapons. Of course many of them are members of the National Guard and members of law enforcement at the local, county and state level. I suppose that it will be possible to register your weapon if you want to do it, but I doubt that SWAT teams will be surrounding the homes of law abiding citizens. As soon as the first weapon affected by this law is seized by law enforcement, a lawsuit will be filed and this will move into the court system until it is adjudicated up to the Supreme Court level.

This is a political state by the Virginia Governor and will have the effect of driving every traditional blue dog Democrat out of the Democrat Party in the Commonwealth

Don’t these phony AGs and LEOs understand what”SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED” means? Or don’t they give a bleep?

They understand perfectly well. They are communists, and their 'god' is POWER. They don't care about the Constitution, and they reject the very idea that We the People are sovereign. They seek to dominate every aspect of your life: bow before your ruler, peasant scum!!!

Make no mistake Virginia politicians are playing a very dangerous game by saying we have powers that people do not.

As most Freepers understand we the people delegate our power and authority to the government. Therefore, they get derive their powers from we the people. They are servants to the people and not masters.

Right. IOW...the “gun lobby” is organizing this movement but the population itself is truly ok with this.

The state itself clearly does: they collect sales tax and profit from sales.
