Democrat presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg claims “21 students are shot every day” under President Trump.
In other words, Bloomberg is claiming that the 14 students killed in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018, were only part of the picture that day. Seven others were allegedly shot somewhere else, if Bloomberg’s claim is to be believed. And the next day, 21 more were shot, and then 21 were shot again the day after that, and so on.
Bloomberg offers no substantiation for his claim. Instead, he released a video this week claiming there have been 263 school shootings since President Trump took office.
Two things need to be noted. First, Bloomberg’s video provides zero substantiation for the claim of 263 school shootings.
Secondly, the phrase “school shootings” is very subjective and, as Bloomberg’s gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety has shown, it can lead to massive amounts of exaggeration.
For example, in December 2014 Everytown released a report claiming “100 school shootings” had occurred since the heinous December 14, 2012, attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School. Breitbart News examined the “shootings” listed by Everytown and reported that the list contained non-school shootings, shootings that did not occur, and accidental discharges of firearms that were legally possessed on campus.
In fact, Everytown cited an Idaho State University instructor who accidentally shot himself in the foot with his concealed carry firearm as an example of a “school shooting.”

Another question for him is, how many of those alleged shootings occurred in Democrat run areas?

Are we talking flu shots, tequila shots, or heroin shots?
And of course it’s very misleading to say that these shootings happened “under Trump” , as if some policies of the Trump administration triggered a rash of shootings.
I see homelessness is in the news more, with the implication that somehow Trump and his policies have created/exacerbated homelessness. It’s the same stupid narrative, to take an ongoing problem which existed under previous Democrat administrations, but claim somehow it’s only due to Trump that there’s some crisis.
I think he means 21 students do a shot everyday. And that is LOW!

21 x 365 works out to 7665 per year, which is a significant fraction of all criminal firearms homicides. Maybe he’s including suicides, or is including everyone of “school age” without regard to whether the shooting happened at a school or not. Or, perhaps he’s just plain old lying. It wouldn’t be the first time.

There are no shooting, homeless or drug problems under Dem rule.
All of that only happens when a Repub is president.

I think the parameters are any shooting within 5 miles of a school gets them included.

There was a “school shooting” that made national news a couple of weeks ago. It turned out to be a pellet gun.

Bloomberg contributed big to the new Virginia gun legislation. What is his ultimate goal? Hmm?
