Ruth Bader Ginsburg spoke with the BBC this week about the upcoming impeachment trial in the US Senate.
During her questioning Justice Ginsburg suggested that US Senators could be disqualified from the proceedings if they are not impartial.

Actually yes, now we know the next step in the plan.
The Senate acts as a tribunal, not a jury to be lead wherever the prosecution decides to wander.
But, well, liberal political fantasies call for Ginsberg's interpretation. McConnel should simply do a vote of dismissal and not even bother with any other actions.

In my opinion any justice who makes a ridiculous statement like this should be impeached. While the Supreme Court is an intrinsically political body Ginsberg abandons any pretext of actual legal judgement. She’s a disgrace.

The D’s are a helluva lot more conniving about this than the GOP was back in the day.
They basically cowered to the immediate, visceral response from the Dem Senate and while sure they went through with the trial (and Henry Hyde in particular was impressive) they didn’t try to re-invent the trial such that Clinton would necessarily lose
They just don’t have the killer instinct that the D’s have
That’s good, of course, because the institutions sort of functioned the way they were supposed to

That is quite possibly the stupidest statement a justice of the supreme court has ever uttered !
On the surface, her statement disqualifies every senator.
However, I think the law recognizes that a person who is partial one way or the other can judge a case impartially, based on the evidence.
We know she doesn’t mean booker, sanders, nor anyone partial on the democrat side
They are simply and very simply in the most literal sense, like spoiled favorite children of neglectful parents
They can not do anything wrong to the most sociopathic destructive degree.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that it has zero standing to rule in an impeachment process. It ruled that impeachment was a “political” process, not a legal one. Politics is not impartial. This is just another example of liberals dirtying up the waters so stupid folks believe them.
And this corpse is a SCJ? My dog knows more about due process than this hack.
I think it’s possible this was from her highly progressive staff of clerks and antifa moonlighters that wrote this and said it was from her.
It’s so stupid to consider it would be a stain on any justice to even float it.
