45% approve of Trump's job performance, marking his third consecutive increase
Support for impeachment still contentious, but continues to dip, now at 46%
Congress enjoys one of its highest ratings of the Trump era, now at 27%
The president's ratings have increased six percentage points since the House of Representatives opened an impeachment inquiry against him in the fall.
The president's latest approval rating is from a Dec. 2-15 poll, conducted as the Democratic-controlled House held hearings on whether Trump should be impeached.

enough voters have found alternative mean of viewing the "news", as well as simply watching the events directly for themselves, that they have concluded that this impeachment is a charade and a sham, and they don't like it ...
personally, i think President Trump's coattails will be even bigger in 2020 than in 2016 and that the Dems will lose the House in 2020 and the GOP will keep the Senate ... at that point, we'll see Trump-sign the likes of which not even God has seen!

I can splain it to you. Mitt Romney was essentially correct when he said that 47% of this country is hopelessly addicted to FREE SH*T and will vote accordingly, no matter the circumstance.
Large numbers of these people are unhappy with Congress for not forking over their FREE SH*T fast enough. Add that to all of us on the Right who loathe Congress and there you have your 27% approval.

I still think a good 75% of them on both sides suck! If this result is even remotely true, I’m sure the number is spiking due to rabid Dems applauding Pelosi and Crew.

I'd give it 110% of the 'Rats suck (if they can be elected with >100% of registered voters, then >100% of them can suck.). I'd say 25% of the 'pubs suck. There are still a good number of Gohmert's and Meadow's (2018 Report Cards)
