Retired judge Bill Webster, the only person to serve as director of both the FBI and the CIA, is blasting President Trump's ongoing criticism of the FBI, calling it "un-American."
In a Tuesday interview with MSNBCs Andrea Mitchell, Webster said Trumps description of the bureau as a broken system was not true and could adversely affect the confidence the American people have in one of the most important agencies in government.
I hate to use that term, I was shocked to hear him use its so inappropriate, said Webster when asked about Trumps description of FBI personnel as scum at a recent Pennsylvania rally.
This kind of talk, people think well, they must know what theyre talking about, but they dont. Take the FBI for a moment. I dont know of any organization I have worked with that tries harder to do the right thing in the right way, he said.

But political bias, spying on citizens, deceiving the fisa courts, lying, and etc is American????? Yeah right..
Living with an FBI you cant trust is un-American.
Spreading distrust of the Mafia is disloyalty to New York.
The POS. Even a casual glance shows the FBI is a progressive era agency, created and run by a prancing homosexual, who used blackmail and illegal spying to accomplish his goals. This included being famous for blackmailing presidents with the information her gathered on them. He infected the entire agency with an ethos that they are above the law.
It continues to this day.
They are a mere political formation protecting the party against any threats.
They are under-represented in quality Law Enforcement despite their braggadocio. An average street cop in in a large city is around 40 times more likely to shoot a bad guy. The overwhelming majority of FBI agents literally never personally make a single arrest.
They are not provided for in the Constitution and have been an engine of increasing Federal power. Ergo, they are indeed, “Un-American”.
I prefer former AG Michael Mukasey. Very sharp guy, and worth watching whenever hes on TV.
Hes got some years on him but hes still got all his marbles. Saw him a few days ago on Fox.
I was going to say that Mr. Webster needs to run to the theater and watch, “Richard Jewell”.
Former FBI Director running to MSNBC to cry about a President says more than anything Trump could.

If he was sincere and honest he’d be DECRYING the obvious abuses and trying to suggest ways to restore credibility and integrity back into the FBI. But its notable and telling that he’s not doing that.
Yeah, Trump isn’t the one doing that. The FBI is clearly at the center of their own lack of reputation.
Hey, Webster ... This country was founded by men who had no confidence in government, and established one that was as small and unobtrusive as possible. That's why this country existed for more than 120 years without an FBI.
Well, a lot of them are...scum.
The old fool (95) is still living back when America was still America and doesn’t have even a rudimentary understanding of the evil forces at play.
My trust of the FBI was broken.....a long time before Trump.
And a thousand incidents in between we’ve never heard of.
Hows that Seth Rich murder investigation coming along there FBI?
Clinton Deputy AG, Jamie Gorelick’s WALL, between the FBI & CIA.
Yeah so just where is that FBI thingy mentioned in the constitution ?
Trump didn’t force the FBI to LIE to the FISA court. Oh maybe he did because he WON election instead of losing to her highness like he was supposed to.
Like listening to Capone cry about the reputation of the mafia being trashed. Uhh I have these mutts.
Knowing these two departments as I do now 9/11 would have happened without the damn wall BOTH are incompetent!!!
