Report: Democrats Have the Votes to Impeach President Trump
Breitbart ^ | 16 December 2019 | Matthew Boyle

House Democrats now have the votes to impeach President Donald J. Trump on Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported late Monday.

The Wall Street Journal‘s Siobhan Hughes, Lindsay Wise, and Natalie Andrews wrote Monday evening:

By Monday afternoon, at least 18 from the 31 Democratic-held districts that Mr. Trump won in the 2016 presidential race had announced they would support the abuse-of-power and obstruction of Congress charges, according to a Wall Street Journal survey, with two saying they are opposed.

In other words, given the recent surge over the weekend into early this week of announcements of support for Articles of Impeachment from a number of vulnerable House Democrats who had been holding out until now, the Democrats have crossed the threshold necessary to impeach the president–barring any unforeseen surprises.

And that’s the catch: democrats assume most voters don’t know what impeachment actually means.

I suspect that they are right especially when it comes to Dem voters. But do they think their voters won't notice that Trump is still in office when the senate does not convict?

I think their supporter's rage will come back on them when they do realize it.

Democrats are afraid of it going to the Senate... WE can call witnesses in the Senate... and they’re NOT going to be in charge.

My guess is they’ll try to rake President Trump over the coals, then allow House members in tough districts to vote against impeachment...

Dems are dreadful people...

IIRC, several of those Trump districts flipped from Republican to Democrat primarily due to the votes of “white, college educated, suburban females.”

Allow me to provide an example of what's going on.

Elissa Slutkin, House freshman and partisan Democrat tart, has declared in favor of peaching.

Her MI 8th Congressional District was re-drawn in 2010.

2016	President	Trump 51 - 44%
2012	President	Romney 51 - 48%
redistricted
2008	President	Obama 53 - 46%

2012 (presidential year)
Republican	Mike Rogers	202,217 58.6 (incumbent)
Democratic	Lance Enderle	128,657 37.3
Libertarian	Daniel Goebel 8,083 2.3
Independent	Preston Brooks 6,097 1.8
Total votes 345,054 100.0
2014 (non-presidential year)
Republican	Mike Bishop	132,739 54.6
Democratic	Eric Schertzing	102,269 42.1
Libertarian	James Weeks 4,557 1.9
Green Jim Casha 1,880 0.8
Natural Law	Jeremy Burgess 1,680 0.7
Total votes 243,125 100.0
2016 (presidential year)
Republican	Mike Bishop 205,629 56.0 (incumbent)
Democratic	Suzanna Shkreli	143,791 39.2
Libertarian	Jeff Wood 9,619 2.6
Green Maria Green 5,679 1.6
Natural Law	Jeremy Burgess 2,250 0.6
Total votes 366,968 100.0
2018 (non-presidential year)
Democratic	Elissa Slotkin	172,880 50.6
Republican	Mike Bishop 159,782 46.8 (incumbent)
Libertarian	Brian Ellison 6,302 1.8
Taxpayers	David Lillis 2,629 0.8
Total votes 341,593 100.0

Note the huge turnout for the Demohypocrites in 2018. I suspect that's their high water mark.

The Republican high water mark in presidential election years is 200,000+.

Yes, almost all of the MSM are totally complicit in this coup attempt.

Attempting the overthrow of the government is a very serious crime.

That is what they are all doing.

To: Thank You Rush

Sarcasm has it’s place but it does not replace reality.

$174,000 seem like a lot of money but is it? There are other compensations but let us keep it simple.

It should be noted the pay is the same if the Congresscritter is from rural Alabama or New York. The law is that they must maintain a residence within their district.

Truth is, a salary of $174,000 would not get you a home in Washington DC not unless they are independently wealthy they will have to find temporary shelter while Congress is in session (do a google search and you will find anecdotal stories about first term congressman living in their office, or renting rooms in people’s homes.

But you did not address my main point. First term congressmen have no real power, they are beholden to the party and because of that they will NOT go against what the party wants.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. Additional breaking news: Schumer doesn't have the votes to convict.

“Democrats Have the Votes to Impeach President Trump”

Well duh!

Unless God sends some kind of revival within hours, of course that’s gonna happen. (But wouldn’t it be great if, when the voting began, all the RATs would inexplicably vote “no”?)

Great! So let's have that impeachment vote, and let the Democrats solidify their image as the party that refused to accept the results of an election.

Given that they actually lost support even when they had complete control of the agenda in the House, the Senate should let us make them look even worse. Good times are coming!
