CBS “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan asked Durbin about Page being treated “unfairly.”

“Does the U.S. government owe Carter Page an apology?” she quizzed.

“I can certainly tell you based on what we saw, they do,” Durbin replied. “And here’s the bottom line: many of us have been looking at this … secret FISA court for years saying this isn’t first and won’t be the last time the FBI misrepresents evidence before this court and proceeds. We have tried to reform the proceedings. Senator Lee, Republican, Senator Leahy, Democrat, myself, and others have been pushing for FISA reform. We couldn’t get the Republicans to join us in that effort. Maybe now they will. This should be a bipartisan effort to clean up the FISA court. What happened in this situation was inexcusable.”

If fraud was conducted before the FISA court, they have a very simple remedy. Issue a bench warrant and arrest the signatories to the documents. That’s how it works. Don’t confuse integrity deficiencies with the need to reform. Laws were broken.

Not oly does the US Gov owe carter Page an apology, but it needs to be issued and signed by the President of the United States.

Since several individuals acted outside their delegated authority at the FBI, DOJ and NSA, they are individually, personally liable for the violation of Carter Page’s Civil Rights under color of law., and damages to his reputation, and legal costs for Carter Page’s otherwise unnecessary legal defense. Page is also entitled to punitive damages, they acted with actual malice or reckless indifference to Page’s civil rights.

President Obama might actually be named as a defendant along with Hillary Clinton and others.
