Local Dems in pro-Trump districts face impeachment-vote minefield (Pelosi can lose only 17)

The freshman House Democrats who gave House Speaker Nancy Pelosi her gavel by flipping Trump districts in 2018 are now in the impeachment hot seat.

Seven local first-termers - New York Reps. Max Rose, Antonio Delgado, and Anthony Brindisi and New Jersey Reps. Jeff Van Drew, Andy Kim, Josh Gottheimer, and Mikie Sherrill - represent districts that voted for President Trump in 2016 but swung into the Democrats’ column in the midterm election.

Now the rookies must choose which of their voters to piss off.

“The luckiest guys in America this week are probably pollsters being paid to do polls for a lot of money in [these] congressional districts,” Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf told The Post.

For articles of impeachment to pass the House, Pelosi can afford to lose only 17 of her members’ votes. “But if she actually loses that many, the messaging will be a problem for her,” Del Percio said.

The best thing for the San Fran Gran Nan is if this whole thing goes down in flames. Historic and all.

The votes on Clinton impeachment:

As long as Trump does better, he’ll be happy.

Shame the Dems are doing this.

The Democrats she wants to walk the plank for her should be asking themselves if she has their back?

She got to keep her job in 2010 while dozens of Democrats who voted for Obamacare where turfed out of office.

They should tell her to go screw herself.

I have heard multiple allusions in the media to a vote on the floor next week, even some specifying Wednesday.

But House leadership has not announced a date and nothing is now on the schedule for it.

They’re nervous, at least.

If they had the votes, they would have posted it on the House schedule.

Which says the leadership is getting an earful from members that don’t want to take this vote.

San Fran Nan has a bigger problem on her hands than messaging.

“The best thing for the San Fran Gran Nan is if this whole thing goes down in flames. “

The best possible outcome for Democrats is for this to be voted down on the floor of the House.

Every other possible outcome is worse.

So great to be observing this political movie in era of Trump. Never a boring moment!

They’ve already got one dem, Jeff Van Drew, that’s reportedly planning to switch to the GOP because of this impeachment sham. Just think of how bad that looks for the Democrats when one of your own is so shameful of being a part of this fraud that he’ll actually bolt ranks to the other party.

Maybe that’ll shame a few other dems into finding their conscience and deciding that they can’t be a part of this obvious partisan hatchet job. The first person in a herd of followers that finds a backbone many times will stiffen the rest to do the right thing.

Pelosi got 232 votes to start the impeachment...

so she can only afford to lose 4 votes to best the Clinton perjury vote,(228-206) and 11 votes to best the obstruction of justice (not of Congress) vote (221-212).

When Pelosi Galore says she is not whipping this vote, you can bet that she is whipping the vote as she does not want these two votes to lose.

Look for the vote to not happen based upon what the Toothless Twit has learned from the DOJ IG report.

No vote, no problem for her and her freshman DemonCraps.

I am deeply offended that anyone would mention Nancy Pelosi, and allude to the beautiful Puss* Galore in the same sentence. My teenage memory's have been tarnished beyond repair.

It is because of Clinton this is happening.

And because once RGB dies or steps down, Trump will pick the next Supreme. The GOP and the Dems do not want that.

I think that trying to coverup the crimes of the old Democrat Party leaders is a noble cause.

Jump on that grenade you younger Democrat politicians!

Nancy will toast you with champagne she bought with money stolen from the American Taxpayers.

Cranky old Joe Biden will write a book about you.....

The NRCC really needs to step up right now to scare Democrats in at risk districts. Simply put, if they vote for impeachment, their Republican challengers will be fully funded and the DCCC doesn’t have the money to help them keep their seats.

It is both a threat and a promise. If nothing else, they should call in sick on the day of the vote.

Right now the NRCC is flush with cash, so it can even extend the threat beyond the at risk seats. Plenty Democrats have no stomach for a fight, and if they reach the panic threshold, maybe others will skip out even before they are threatened.

Hey - she promised a bipartisan impeachment...now she’s got a few defectors from her own Party and one who’s jumping ship altogether...

My rep is one of the 31. Sent her a job application for McDonalds. She will need it in Jan 2021 but probably is not skilled enough to work in the private sector.
