“As a lay person I have always wondered; “Why Senators spend $20 million on a campaign to earn a job paying $350k/year”. It’s hard to read this kind of stuff without losing complete faith in our form of government and especially the powerful politicians who run it. Honestly, when Trump first ran for office, and talked about the swamp, I thought I knew how bad it really was. I WASN’T EVEN CLOSE! Washington DC has become an out of control monster of horrendous proportions. Mitch McConnell, for instance, is one ugly self-serving politician who needs to be gotten rid of. $20 million for a $350,000 job?

That’s not how one judges the importance of a congressional or senate seat.

What’s at stake is the trillions of dollars that the government manages on behalf ‘of the people’. Where that money goes and how it’s used and who benefits, is vastly more important than the wages and benefits that a person may get as compensation. Politically, it’s all about spending that money on your preferred agenda items.

iirc, there was something out there announcing a “Part 3”

I’ve not been able to find anything about any “Part 3” since they showed 1 & 2 last week.

I don’t know how a part 3 could be any better than 1 & 2, but as was posted up thread, I am amazed every day as more gummit corruption is exposed to the light of day.
