Photographer leaves Judiciary hearing after being accused of taking photos of member notes

A Reuters photographer left the House Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday after he was accused of taking photos of documents.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) announced that the photographer took pictures of Democratic committee members’ notes during a recess.

“We noticed that, announced it to staff, and that photographer has been removed,” he said, when the recess was over. “And I would just say no member Republican or Democrat should be subject to that.”

Video of the photographer taking photos at the dias circulated on Twitter, with Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) posting the footage from CNN.

A senior adviser to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) attempted to clear the record by saying the pictures were taken at Democratic desks and were of the Bible and another book.

A Reuters spokesperson told The Hill that the photographer did not take pictures of any personal notes.

Oh sure, we know The BIBLE is super important to Nan, and I’m sure the claim had NO political aims about it, right?

By the way, famously Catholic Nancy once called Partial Birth Abortion HALLOWED GROUND to her:

It’s on tape.

And they dispute that anything wrong happened.

They do acknowledge photos included “illegible pieces of paper”. Can’t read the cursive writing, meybe???

His actions were inappropriate, sure.

But the irony should be clear to all, here:

Big Guy Spying - No consequences
Little Guy Spying - Instant outrage & caterwauling

Hillary spying - 30,000 emails = no time, no charges
Submarine guy takes 3 snaps - Leavenworth, thrown out of Navy, no benefits, becomes a garbage man to feed his family

Vaguely this reminds me of the rodeo clown who wore an Obama mask:

They threw him off the rodeo circuit, he lost his job

Other photographers have been seen doing this before.

I always thought it would be great fun to have a fake document ready with various names, phone numbers, and notes and let the reporter believe they had a scoop and send them on a wild goose chase.

Let them write an article based on the phony notes.

Good times.

The only thing the Democrats use the Bible for is a paperweight. :-(

If you ever catch them constantly opening their Bible, again, and again, and again, check them for one of these babies (a hidden flask of booze).

I used to have red ink stamps that had “TOP SECRET” and “CONFIDENTIAL” on them.

When I had to take flights for work, I would stamp all the pages of work stuff that I needed to catch up on.

It was always fun to catch my seat neighbors peaking over at what could be so important. Great conversation starter. Got several dates out of it!

= = =

Isn’t this what Gen. Schwarzkopf did? Let the ‘media’ see a map on the wall behind him? Which was fake.

He was talking pictures of what is on a desk in an open public place. There should be nothing private or classified on that desk. He touched nothing.

Why is there a problem?

I saw that as it was happening. I’m glad they threw him out. It was obvious what he was doing and I thought he was quite brazen to do it on camera.
