You are so correct in pointing out the nationalization of the National Guard.

What these morons in their threats don’t realize is that the President CAN nationalize the Guard if the states are in violation of federal laws or committing unconstitutional acts, like restricting Second Amendment rights.

This is exactly what happened in Arkansas and Alabama when governors used the Guard to enforce school segregation and Eisenhower and then Kennedy nationalized the state Guard units whose local commanders then turned around and told their governors (Faunus and Wallace) to please get lost.

So go ahead, Blackface Northampton, call out your Guard and watch Trump take them over.

“Democrats want to use the National Guard against citizens, but block using the National Guard to secure the border from non-citizens.”

Yep, but of course it’s specifically non-criminal citizens they want to use the National Guard against. The have no interest in forcing gangbangers to give up their already illegal guns. To the contrary, they want actual criminal citizens released from jail and not arrested in the first place (disparate impacts and all that). By now they’ve made it clear their actual goal is the suppression of regular, law-abiding Americans. Open borders, criminals run amok/anti-police stances, and disarming the law-abiding populace while violating their Constitutional rights are all part of the same thing.

It’s really a sad situation. Virginia is where project exile proved the point that gun related crime could be stopped only by enforcing existing laws and putting criminals Behind Bars.

Dr “Josef Mengele” Northam (a pediatric neurologist by profession before becoming a politician) has no regard for the lives of children in the womb and supports abortion up to birth.

IMHO, if he has such low regard for the lives of children in the womb, he certainly will not respect the lives of adults, especially those who oppose the radical agenda of his power mad demoKKKrat party.

Every gun grabbing politician in Virginia needs to be doxxed and the info sent to his email with photos of his house, car, license tag, etc.

These fookers are trying to foment a civil insurrection. It won’t be the cops or guard who should be worried. I think most will turn a blind eye to the ones who are getting their necks stretched from trees in Richmond.

Hitlery went around the world asking for money but I believe she also was asking for backing for a war the liberals desire.

Don’t forget that the constitutions also provide checks and balances in the the legislature can make a law but government employees, judges, cops, and juries don’t have to follow them. Nothing in our system of government is dictatorial.

This is what the true Left does when it gains power. The first step is to disarm the populace.

"...or they're prosecuted for failure to fulfill their oath"

Doesn't the oath of office require following the law in Virginia, including the Virginia Constitution? It sure seems like it would:

§ 49-1. Form of general oath required of officers.

Every person before entering upon the discharge of any function as an officer of this Commonwealth shall take and subscribe the following oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as ____________________ according to the best of my ability, (so help me God)."

Virginia Constitution:

Section 13. Militia; standing armies; military subordinate to civil power

That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

Any police officer who does enforce unconstitutional laws should be prosecuted for failure to fulfill their oath. Representatives like Mr Connolly should consider reading the constitution they personally took an oath to support. Their constituents should consider retiring them at the next election.

“The Virginia Army National Guard is composed of approximately 7500 soldiers and maintains 46 armories in communities throughout the Commonwealth.”

Virginia has 95 counties. 75 of these favor the 2nd Amendment. This works out to 100 guardsmen per county.

10 USC § 333 –Interference with State and Federal Law: The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy if it:

a. So hinders the execution of the law of that State, and of the U.S. within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or

b.Opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the U.S. or impedes the course of justice under those laws. In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.

In theory... Correct. But when your State AG and Governor start having Guard troops point guns at you... The niceties of what "should" be kind of fall apart.

In the end, the only real Rights we have are those we are willing for fight, kill, and die for.
