“Sir Joseph:
. I grew so rich that I was sent
By a pocket borough into Parliament.
I always voted at my party’s call,
And I never thought of thinking for myself at all.
I thought so little, they rewarded me
By making me the Ruler of the Queen’s Navee!”
Seems some “pocket boroughs” are falling this time.

Another point that was made. A lot of long time Parliamentarians are being defeated or leaving. Not only is Labor losing, they losing many of their “stars”. They going to be a less effective opposition

I agree. The one heavyset presenter has been very direct with members of all the parties. I only wish on on-air journalists were that way.
