I’m not sure how you “battle” all day and only have 2 KIA. Maybe the definition of “battle” has changed since Vietnam. Of course the NVA didn’t rely on Allah to guide their bullets. Not that I want to see KIAs. But it just seems odd.

But maybe bodies mushed and shredded and crushed into a pile of goo. . .unless you have a DNA testing kit, no way to make an accurate count. Or maybe simply can’t count the number because we don’t “do” body-count anymore. So maybe the media made the count and we know how accurate they are and would NEVER under-count to make the US look bad. Or the evil terrorists carried away the bodies of the killed? And how does one “count” KIA if they all look alike, civilian the terrorist? Since ROE plays a part— if a terrorist is killed, and then the body no longer has a weapon or bomb (taken away by other terrorists), he can’t be counted as a terrorist.
Or a combination thereof. . .who knows. . .

I’ve said for fifteen years that if we are not going to implement Operation Almighty Pork Sword on the Muslims we should completely disengage and not waste lives or money fighting them. If they continue to nip at us then Operation Almighty Pork Sword.
