All three networks devoted reports Wednesday to hyping radical Swedish teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg being honored by Time Magazine today with their “Person of the Year” award. Journalists from ABC, NBC, and CBS all praised the “deserving” “good choice” and touted the teen “taking on” world leaders while “inspiring” other teens to become climate evangelists.
NBC spent the most time groveling over Greta. They even had Time’s editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal on to puff up the teen as “the biggest voice on the biggest issue facing the planet this year,” leading a “worldwide movement.”
Today show co-host Hoda Kotb praised the radical teen’s “brutal honesty” while “confronting world leaders about climate change” with her, “how dare you!” scolding.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, on the third hour of Today there was more fangirling by the NBC journalists. The panel lauded the “good choice” from the magazine.
Today co-host Sheinelle Jones marveled at the 16-year-old’s “sweet voice” that she used to bash world leaders with at the UN summit: “And she's got that sweet voice….Everybody thought, aww look at this cute little girl, and she went for it!"
“She’s the face of young social activism,” fellow co-host Craig Melvin touted, adding that she was “woke.”

Yep, a perfect example.
Every river that went through a city in the United States used to have raw sewage dumped into it, routinely. You couldn’t swim, or fish, or even stand to be around them. They were open sewers.
This was the normal way of things as recently as the 1970s.
The amount of progress we, as a country, have made in the last fifty years is staggering.
Back in the 80s my brother had an apartment in Los Angeles with a view of the Hollywood sign, but he never knew. He lived there for two years and never saw it, because of the smog. We were back there last year, and he was like “When did they put that up?”
Now that right there is funny. OK then!
If one needs to respond to these ‘climageddonists’, a simple “OKAY DOOMER!” will do.

Does this group hold meetings, send email to each other, call on the phone?
They are now idolizing a dopey young girl and following her lead
