Imagine the Department of Justice inspector general (IG) conducting a review of the Jeffrey Epstein case. It might read something like this: “While it is clear that Mr. Epstein abused minor girls, there is no documentary or testimonial evidence that he was motivated by a deviant sexual interest in those young girls.”
The newly released IG investigation into FBI abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) enshrines the report’s main catchphrase — “documentary or testimonial evidence” — in the hall of fame for legalese absurdities.
The report by IG Michael Horowitz is one long expose of a confluence of actors at the top of the FBI who, by their own words, despised Donald Trump and came together to open and run an investigation into his 2016 presidential campaign, falsifying documents, withholding evidence and using a confidential source who had stated clearly that his goal was to prevent a Trump presidency.
Despite these flashing lights, the IG essentially stated that since no one admitted to being motivated by their personal biases, he could not reach that conclusion. Thanks for that, but most Americans unencumbered by a law degree can detect the obvious without a lot of effort.
Ironically, the devastating decisions and abuses that the report goes on to enumerate are only explained with any kind of logic by the swift current of personal animus gripping the main protagonists then at the top of the FBI.

The FBI received a notification from a friendly country, which is known to be Australia, that a Trump campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, had received a “suggestion” from Russia that it could assist the campaign by releasing information “damaging to Mrs. Clinton (and President Obama).”
That being the case, and it just might be, the President of the United States should be shutting down the US Embassy in Australia, every consulate and expelling every Australian diplomat from the US, until those that assisted in the coup are identified and held accountable.
But.........Naaahhhhhhhhhh!
They go after Gen Flynn and his family, bankrupting him and forcing him to take a plea, under duress.
They go after Manafort for doing the exact same thing the podesta’s and clinton’s have done and do.
They go after Papadopolous for whatever the hell it is they went after him for.
They go after Stone, in a predawn raid that would make Delta Force and SEAL Tm 6 jealous of their skills and tactics, for running his mouth.
And, time will tell, but it is unlikely that anyone will be held accountable for any of this.

It does seem to be a theme for the past few years that, you just can't identify a Bad Guy as a Bad Guy unless they actually confess to being a Bad Guy. And if they don't come right out and confess [shrug] you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Once upon a time, people looked at evidence and came to the conclusion: "You're a Bad Guy".

If we had an operating republic, the Senate Judiciary committee would haul in the FISA judge(s) for a chit-chat.

You are probably correct because as we know and James Clapper admitted on TV, all roads lead to Obama. Clapper and the other high criminals were just good soldiers obeying orders from Hisself.
I’d bet the FISA judge or judges were in on it. And why not? They’re all a bunch of deviants worming their way around the law.

I believe Solomon has left The Hill. It was outrageous how they labeled his pieces “opinion” while not doing the same to leftist opinion tantrums mascaraiding as straight news reporting.
Indeed. The Democrats have been howling about President Trump. They insist that "no one is above the law". But can we actually bring charges against Obama? Oh! Oh! Oh! Perish the thought! He was president for gosh sakes! You can't charge Obama with a crime!! And besides, he's black.
If there was no bias, why did they press forward with the Steel dossier as a source after they knew it was rubbish?
The Dept of Justice has “evolved” to where it could exonerate a Hitler and prosecute a Mother Theresa. That may sound extreme, but it’s not very far from what they have done. Justice has very little to do with how they operate.
Well, Comey exonerated Hillary and they have been trying to prosecute Trump for three years now.
They are no longer hidden. They are officially out of the closet, out of the cold, front and center for all to see.
We can see their tentacles reaching inside almost all U.S. institutions and that includes the DOJ, the FBI, and the CIA.
