A well organized militia is what it says. Start organizing, get as many vets as possible, think of a catchy name, design some fancy patches, buy surplus uniforms and go on from there. i.e. Hudson County Citizen Militia, Home Guard Army, don’t use Guardians of the Constitution, people may be offended by it. Oh what the hell, the word militia is enough to worry them. Hold meetings after church on Sundays and have SOS served as breakfast.

My advice to anyone considering this a good idea; don’t attach the word militia to any group you’re involved with. Use your imagination as to a better way to describe yourselves.

The militia groups should start applying to the national guard units for surplus crew served weapons. Of particular interest would be anti-tank weapons.
The Virginia state constitution specifies a militia governed by ‘the civil power’, which could allow for county militia units.
My own state constitution is not so well worded, vesting the control of the militia (ie state guard) to our governor. Bummer.
I can see this catching on in other states where the state constitutions allow for it. It would be interested to see what these Virginia counties do in terms of organization, any voluntary or required training, etc.
I like the idea of the Sheriff that was going to deputize anyone in his county. That could be a trend too.
FBI agents and their snitches will comprise 99% of the members.
