I’d like the time stamp on that photo to get context.

Way too many teams, rules which prevent any defense, political correctness, and lack of any fan favorite players.

Looks like 13:49 in 3rd quarter and a 13-10 game.

I have vowed not to watch a NFL game until Goodell is gone.

My condition is non-negotiable.

Their move.

You could buy a ticket to the Browns game for $9.00– less than the price of a beer.

I rarely watch the NFL, College ball is so much more fun, the coaching more creative, the crowd is enthusiastic but much more positive, the teams want to win, in the NFL the teams are worrying about losing, college ball has more risk-taking, better circuses, more joy in the game, and a much longer history.

Time-stamp? The scoreboard clock shows it’s a minute into the second half

Good

I will not watch NFL

Will not give them a second of my time nor one penny of financial support. They are not allowed in my living room nor in my house. I do not discuss them

The. One thing I do tune into is this. Their demise

They -the nfl execs- allow disrespect for our flag - which most certainly does not represent police brutality, le racism nor any kind of racism, they are done. My family is not allowed to bring them into my home via tv

Reasons for poor attendance off of the top of my head without giving it a lot of thought:

01. ) Ungrateful A-Holes kneeling during the anthem.

02. ) Over-officious penalties.

03. ) Rules Committees make new rules but are never called on the field, i.e., pass-interference challenges as just one example.

04. ) Touchdown celebrations which make the players look like a bunch of fags. I often wonder if they realize that they look like a bunch of fags during the gay parade in San Francisco!

04a. ) Celebrations after almost every play. A team can be down by 30 points and finally that team player makes a good play then celebrates as if they are ahead by 30 points.

05. ) The NFL asking fans to make contributions to the latest ( foundation or new disease ). How many of their billions have they donated to these new ‘things’?

06. ) My Cleats, My Cause: So, NFL.....YOU want US to buy YOUR cleats so that YOU can donate OUR money to YOUR latest Negro Foundation? How many of the millions of dollars of these millionaires have THEY donated to THEIR cause?

/End of rant

IMO, the only thing keeping them afloat is interest in fantasy leagues.
Before the kneeling issue, the quality of the on-field play was on a sharp decline. The broadcast was just a bunch of commericals interrupted by occassional play and a flag fest.

I want to thank Colin Kapernick for what he started.

It has freed up so much time for me on Sunday that had been preiously wasted.

The officiating is getting worse, not better - a lot of calls are mind-numbingly bad.

MLB, NHL, or NBA would not survive this type of poor officiating.

The NFL cares about eyeballs on TVs, not asses in seats.

That is the big money for them .... 10 year network contracts ... coming up again soon ...

Good. Scrap all sports in America. Get it out of the schools and make it a community thing. Locally, our teachers make peanuts while the high school coaches live like kings. (A little hyperbole, but, still.)

2005 - Attendance figures that count tickets sold, not turnstile clicks, make it hard for fans to reconcile what they hear with the empty seats they see

The NFL traditionally has permitted a team to announce whatever attendance figures it chose, including no-shows. However, the league distributed a memo this month encouraging teams to limit their announcement to tickets sold. “When no-shows become a significant factor,” the memo read, “clubs should respond factually to inquiries from the media.”
