Way too many teams, rules which prevent any defense, political correctness, and lack of any fan favorite players.
In past years, there have been excuses for late November and December attendance dropping, such as :
teams are out of playoff contention
people are traveling for the holidays
people are out Christmas shopping and not going to games
bad weather this time of year holds down attendance
