I would argue that is not true. Are they Muslim? Yeah? Then permission to train at our Armed Forces bases denied.

They are esconced somewhere in secret wallowing in luxury while being lawyered up, lobbying that they be treated as criminals with rights rather than treasonous enemy combatants.
They all belong under interrogation in Guantanamo under proper military rendition orders.
Their Wahabi Salafist network within the US and Saudi military needs to be rolled up and destroyed. Let them be sentenced as military combatants by US military tribunal and then subsequently punished under their own Sharia law where they will undoubtedly be decapitated.
I will say that one of these Muslim military members died along with two other sailors trying to fight back against the Islamist “student pilot,” so they’re not automatically bad.
But if they’re foreign born - or even if not - they should be vetted more thoroughly. The guy in Pensacola was posting all sorts of nutty anti American stuff. But our FBI and CIA are too busy trying to take out Trump to bother with mere trifles like terrorism.

I ran many IMET programs for years when I was in the Pentagon. Muslim students that go AWOL are motivated mostly by freedom, booze, women, no scrutiny by religious police, basically they find out they luv Western life and simply don’t want to go back.
Seriously, while more than enough go AWOL for nefarious reasons, a vast majority just can’t face going back to live in an unbelievably hot desert, no booze and no fun women, and they can’t party.
I believe they had this problem with Afghans and Iraqis coming to the US for military training and suddenly disappearing in the US.

Each IMET class in whatever training is done, has a few muslims sent home because they can’t speak English (a core requirement) to attend IMET training.

Typically, there will be one or two “aides” for each trainee. (To keep them company.) These aides usually speak English well and can read and understand better than the pilot trainee.
No telling what these folks are like but, in the Pensacola incident, the culprit entertained some people the night before his attack with videos of mass shootings.
Send them all home. They don’t even hide their hate for the USA and its citizens!

The Middle East is the site of an intense power struggle. Neither side is what we would call “good.” There are no good guys. Only different flavors of bad guys. If the struggle erupts into all out war then, potentially, the economy of the entire world will be disrupted. Famine will be so wide spread that potentially billions of people could die. This could be the beginning of horrible things for lots of nations. In this struggle, we have to pick sides in order to prevent chaos. We can’t simply walk away and let them sort it out without ourselves suffering the consequences.
In picking sides we have already influenced the Saudis to begin the long, painful process of modernizing their culture and religion. The current Saudi leadership has risen to the challenge, but there are significant forces in their own country that want to sabotage the effort and keep them in the ninth century. One of the things the Saudis want to do with their oil IPO is create a free trade city where their religious laws do no apply. It would, reportedly include Israel, probably as the supplier of desalination plants. This is a small step, but from the Saudi cultural position, it’s like attempting a moon landing. So, Trump plays kissy with the Saudis. It’s a good move on his part.
Well, you gotta admit that the jihadis are getting smarter....
