American military bases are reportedly on high alert for “missing Saudi servicemen” in the wake of the deadly shooting at Pensacola’s Naval Air Station on Friday.
The feds have repeatedly emphasized that “Saudi Air Force officers selected for military training in the United States are intensely vetted by both countries.” But the government’s own data on military deserters from the Muslim world and elsewhere are not so reassuring.

One bright spot is that unlike the school shootings the deputies arrived quickly and immediately entered the building and engaged the shooter.
Also one of those killed appeared to have acted bravely.

To be fair, GWB was new on the job, and so were many of his appointments. He inherited Jami Gorelick’s infamous wall that prevented interagency terror intelligence sharing.
That said, GWB went out of his way not to call the Saudis and Islamists in general out. Islam was peace, terror was not true Islam. One of the speakers at an Islamic promotion event was Anwar al-Aliki!
So he went to Afghanistan after Osama, but never lanced the boil of Wahabbism, not even verbally.
