Joe Biden asserted that he never heard worries that his son Hunter Biden's role on a Ukrainian gas company could create a conflict of interest.
"Nobody warned me about a potential conflict of interest," Biden said Friday in an interview with NPR. "I never, never heard that once at all."
Hunter Biden was on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, while his father was vice president and working on Ukrainian policy. President Trump asked the Ukrainian president this year to investigate the Bidens, prompting Democrats to launch impeachment proceedings against Trump.
George Kent, a top State Department official, testified during impeachment hearings in November that he raised conflict of interest concerns after he learned Hunter Biden was on Burisma's board.
“In February 2015, I raised my concern that Hunter Biden’s status as a board member could create the perception of a conflict of interest,” Kent said. “Let me be clear, I did not witness any effort by any U.S. official to shield Burisma from scrutiny."
Joe Biden told NPR that if Kent raised the issue with his staff, they did not tell him about it likely because his late son Beau Biden was battling cancer.
"Well, my son was dying so I guess that's why he said it, because my son was on his deathbed. But that that's not the reason why — they should have told me," Biden said.

The main act, the three ring circus center ring, isn’t in the USA. That act will be performed in Ukraine.
The Hunter Biden acrobatic juggling will be in one of the other rings and perhaps outside in a side show. Featured by the ringmaster, in the center ring, will be the former American President, Barack Obama. The present Ukraine government will be directing the fabulous display of corruption on an international scale involving the exPresident and who knows what others. Bankers will be running for cover as they are brought as clowns to the show show to perform as accessories to the crimes of massive corruption.
It is going to be a fabulous show, timed to do maximum damage and drug out for weeks and weeks
That particular excuse admits that investigating was reasonable. He’s acknowledging there was smoke. It’s reasonable to check for fire.

Someone please fact check the timeline—-when was Beau “on his deathbed” and when was Hunter on Burisma—I’ll bet the timelines don’t match up.
Plugs is typically a very bad liar who is easily fact-checked.

One of the assets of a competent leader, regardless of ideology, is the ability to think for self and not depend on others to do your thinking for you.
Biden is essentially saying he is incompetent.
Hunter even said he told his father about Burisma!!
Hunter was appointed to Burisma in April 2014.
Beau died in May 2015.
So Plugs wants us to believe his staff tiptoed around the Hunter issue for 13 months, keeping Beau’s situation a total secret. That’s just not believable. Plugs is a LIAR, and not a very good one.
This sounds so much like a Hillary liar progression.
First “I didn’t do it.”
Second, attack anyone who implies you did.
Third, admit it may have happened but you’re not responsible or didn’t know about it.
Fourth, call it “Old News” “Not going to revisit those old issues.”
