Biology textbooks used in American high schools do not go near the sensitive question of whether genetics can explain why African-Americans are overrepresented as football players and why a disproportionate number of American scientists are white or Asian. But in a study starting this month, a group of biology teachers...
...try to destroy biology in the schools, in the same way the Obama administration destroyed math education, and how STEM curricula are under attack everywhere.
The genetic differences between races has been the third rail for any scientist who approaches it as he would any scientific inquiry. For example, William Schockley, co-inventor of the transistor.
“Nature vs. Nurture” is the oldest argument in the social sciences. The problem is, when you set out to study it in a totally objective scientific fashion, everything is fine until you start to uncover facts that do not align with the politically-correct views. Then you are called a racist and your job, family and life are put in jeopardy.
Just take what happens today whrn a conservative tries to speak on a college campus and multiply thst by 1000.
BTW the answer is NOT all 100% nurture.
Slavery was evil. The fact that the British and Dutch instituted slavery of Africans was evil. Some of the people down south who did evil things with their slaves was evil. Other slave holders were not. They treated their slaves with dignity. Im not going to argue a blanket good evil with everyone down south. I never said that
OH, OH, I know the answer.
Because their ancestors in Africa were the only ones who could out run the lions!
(can’t take a joke)?
go ahead, flame away.
Yes there is; THE HUMAN RACE!
Despite the outward physical differences developed to adapt to different climates and living conditions, people are just people on the inside.
All people of all colors and cultures (unless they are mentally ill) want whats best for their children and a better life for their children and grand children.
