Appearing Friday on CNN’s New Day, House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) called for the U.S. Constitution to be changed if Congress fails to impeach President Donald Trump.

You can’t impeach congressmen and senators. It’s not in the Constitution. You can impeach judges, members of the Executive that require confirmation, the President and Vice-President. Members of Congress can be expelled by the house they belong to (House or Senate), or they can be voted out of office. That is all.
Problem: Then there’s NO way to remove an actual criminal President or members of Congress.
That is a mistake in the Constitution, I think.
The Congress also made themselves basically immune to prosecution for most crimes, too.
I think what they’re doing now is payback for impeaching Clinton...Pressure has been building for over 20 years! They wanted to end it as soon as possible, and gave Bill basically a slap on the wrist, but they definitely did not forget!

AKA Constitutional convention.
But he'll have to wait until the third day.
The first day would be to reword/bastardize the first amendment
The second day would be to bastardize or outright repeal the 2nd amendment.
Actually, the interesting part of this article is not the headline. It’s this (and he’s the party whip so it’s his job to keep members in line and he’s really good at it): “I think it would be a bit unseemly for us to go out and whip up a vote on something like this. This is too serious, this is too much about preserving this great republic and I think we ought to leave it up to each member to decide how he or she would like to vote.”
The D leadership has determined this issue is toxic in all but the crazy left-wing districts and will not enforce party unity on impeachment. The crazies will crash the party if they don’t get their impeachment vote and the ones running in purple districts will lose if they vote for impeachment.
This is the party telling the purple district D’s that it’s OK.

That’s due to impeachment. You don’t indict, you impeach.
And these clowns would have LOVED to indict Pres. Trump.
Without impeachment, perhaps he thinks they could just get SUNY or the Wash DC district attny to indict the Pres. on any bogus bullshit they can come up with.

This man is not only delusional, but dangerous. But then again, he is a Democrat Party congressional leader so these are obviously some of the credentials needed to rise in the ranks of the rank.
Doesn't matter. Neither party will ever have 67 seats in the Senate.
