Bodycam footage released Wednesday shows the moment a South Carolina deputy accidentally shot a shoplifting suspect’s mother in her home while trying to make an arrest.

The Greenville County sheriff’s deputy, who hasn’t been publicly named, confronted 40-year-old Sean Theodore Kaiser Oct. 20 in front of his mom’s home, but he retreated inside, according to the footage released by the sheriff’s office.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but 16 is more than 10 so "10+" includes my time on the job. I'm not into giving very specific details on public forums.

I was going to leave you alone, but now that you've re-established contact let me ask you. When you say you are retired law enforcement, in what specific capacity did you serve? Did you patrol and answer radio calls? Or did you, perhaps, go inside a building every day and babysit prisoners? Some people have reached out to me privately and are calling you a giant fraud.

In many cities CVS has stopped prosecuting shoplifters. The end result is stores are getting hit repeatedly DAILY by the same junkies, they barrel out of the store almost knocking down customers.

I have had am experienced LEO tell me “we should be happy they are sticking up CVS and not people on the street.”

I replied it was BS, and we need more jails.

CVS et al thinks its less expensive to make the law abiding pay for the “shrinkage” and risk a lawsuit or two by us getting knocked over (or when some shoplifter decides to rob and harm a senior standing outside the store with a cell phone in their hands) than it is to prosecute or hire security guards.

Recently I read some shoplifters in NYC graduated to violent robbery of the pharmacy, with an employee recently beaten.

It will never stop till an upper level CVS exec (or their kid) is stabbed by one of these bums.

Saw this video last night on Youtube on Donut Operator’s channel (he’s an ex-Spartanburg SC cop and really funny guy), and man, what a crapshow. Why did she even try to arrest him before a second officer was there? Why didn’t she just keep him chilled on the steps and de-escalate while waiting for backup? Just wow.

Really, the only good thing about the video was Deputy Leonidas showing up and dropping a “THIS IS SPARTAAA!” front kick on that drunk and laying him out cold. The rest of it was probably enough to make any LEO or ex-LEO (which I am not) cringe.
