I’m curious what the threat to the bear’s survival really is? Toxins in the spray paint, or that he’s hanging around with a tough Russian gang and could spiral into drugs, gambling, immoral/illegal activity (that crazy Russian Mob...) and loose women (bears)? Sorry CNN, but the polar bear is NOT in danger. This has been refuted countless times by folks who are actually qualified to judge such things.

I think the concern is loss of camouflage and he may not be as successful hunting.

Interesting side story. I read that they tested painting a spot on one hyena in a pack. The next day the one with the spot had always been killed. The thought was they stood out whenever a lion or other animal attacked and the lion could better focus on killing one.
