I’ll play devil’s advocate here and say it probably was not stolen because anytime the government wants to run healthcare, it involves politicians and their wealthy friends always being able to make use of the most expensive and exclusive facilities and the rest of the population having to deal with union shops conveniently titled public hospitals.
