Kelly Loeffler to have powerful ally after she’s tapped to Senate in Georgia (NRSC, i.e. McConnell)

When Gov. Brian Kemp announces on Wednesday that he’s picked Kelly Loeffler for an open U.S. Senate seat, she’ll have some powerful backup to help defend her new post.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee will support Loeffler, giving her a key political ally as she faces a potential GOP challenge, according to two people with direct knowledge of the decision.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution first reported last week that Kemp will appoint Loeffler to the seat despite President Donald Trump’s endorsement of U.S. Rep. Doug Collins, a four-term congressman who is one of his top advocates in the U.S. House.

And there's your answer as to why, as if one was needed.

McConnell didn't want Doug Collins (or any other conservative) in the Senate.

What’s the background on her that makes her “establishment?” Do we have to worry about Trump’s judge noms with her?

Alabama all over again.

Governor appoints stooge (Luther Strange).

Conservative runs against stooge.

McConnell insists Trump endorse stooge because they’re the incumbent (and McConnell will do this or that in return, or NOT do this or that if Trump doesn’t).

Conservative defeats stooge in primary.

General election is closer than it needs to be; Democrat could win.

McConnell gets stooge or democrat but not a dreaded conservative.

Mission accomplished for McConnell.

Now is not the time to give up a seat in either the House or the Senate.

With a move like this....

And I know NOTHING about this woman other than she’s the CEO OF A BITCOIN FUTURES TRADING COMPANY!!!

For the love the Lord Almighty, that ALONE should disqualify her from any position in government!!!!!

If this is what this fool in GA is going to do, might as well have had that Abrams fool win...

This is just inexplicable.

No more than we have to rely on Senator Murkowski’s vote. In other words, if she ends up as being the DECIDING VOTE, we may well need to be VERY WORRIED.

Correct..somewhat. The RINO NWO anti-Trumpers like Pierre Delecto’ are a thorn on Trump’s ass but they vote straight for his judges nominations.

If Kemp names Collins, that is definitely NOT giving up the seat in the Senate.

For those who care...”Breitbart News has reported how Loeffler has concerning ties to failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and also that Loeffler’s basketball team, the Atlanta Dream, has promoted the abortion provider Planned Parenthood. Loeffler has also donated $750,000 to Mitt Romney’s failed 2012 presidential campaign as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars to former Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) campaigns and PACs.”

A GOPe, deep state hack and a PP soldier. The contempt the party has for its own base knows no bounds. Kemp is a back stabbing punk.

Hannity just commented on this, criticizing and expressing surprise that the governor would do it. He lived in Georgia for four years before moving back to NYC.

He’ll talk more about it I’m sure. No idea if he’ll be able to influence the situation.

There’s a primary to finish out the term isn’t there? Hopefully the Georgia Republicans are not as stupid as they are in Alabama. There’s a reason why the south lost.

The GOP-e is concerned about the “suburban women’s vote”.

Evidently a man is too threatening for them.

The perfect is the enemy of the good. We lost seats the last time around with supposed “conservatives” who were unpleasant and unelectable. McConnell is politically savvy, if nothing else, and has been a good ally to Trump recently.

So if McConnell thinks she’s electable, she’s who we have to support. She’d do what she is supposed to do, I think., in terms of supporting the party. She’s a business woman and sounds pragmatic.

Remember folks, this is all a numbers game. We can worry about internal politics later: we just need more GOP than Dems in both houses.

That, and whoever has the seat needs to win elections in 2020 (special election for remainder of Isakson’s term) and 2022 (full 6 year term). Loeffler can self-fund.
