Lets give credit where credit is due. They took action..
stop. Its Newsweek.
It was a reaction
Newsweek published it, the author wrote it.
If the media fired everyone who wrote a fake Trump story, there would be no media left.
And that would be a good thing.
Kwong got creamed on twitter, and I helped.
Thousands of replies to her tweet described above.
Gotta love this POTUS!!!
You know how Trump could really rub their face in it? Invite Ms Kwong to the white house and be super gracious to her.
They won't be around much longer, regardless. Their issues are about as thin as a greeting card and are overpriced at $1.00 per issue.
They'll close their doors permanently sometime in the near future.
The company is immune to lawsuits because it is worthless, and has no assets to lose in a civil judgment.
A homeless bum living under a bridge has a higher net worth than Newsweak.
Fire or not fire, it doesnt change my view on that publication. I never read it and never will
I wouldnt have fired her.
I find it ironic that Newsweak fires a reporter for doing the same thing the magazine does, along with what the majority of the media does...reports without facts, and without double-checking those facts. This is the same magazine who spiked Mike Isikoff’s story on the Clinton-Lewinsky affair because they claim they didn’t have two verified sources. They don’t even follow the standards they set for themselves.
“The story has been corrected,”
Even the alleged “correction” was incorrect. They kept the part about golfing and just added the tip to it. It doesn’t seem possible. Wednesday after sunset he flew from FL to Andrews. After 10 p.m. he flew 13 hours to Afghanistan. He spent 3-1/2 hours at the base. Then he flew 13 hours back to the U.S.
Unless some sort of time warp is involved, or there no longer are only 24 hours in a day, I’m not seeing how he worked any golf into his schedule on Thanksgiving Day.
[[Jessica Kwong, whose Twitter handle identifies her as a political reporter “covering Trump administration and family,”]]
Jessica Kwong, whose ———NEW——— Twitter handle identifies her as an unemployed TDS victim who wishes she could “cover Trump administration and family,”
It actually should depend on whether the White House gave the reporter any information that led to his story or if he just made it up.
The White House wouldn’t have released information about the surprise trip for security reasons. So if asked, how would they have responded?
I’m guessing the reporter was assigned the story, couldn’t get anyone to talk and so made up the story. And if so, he should be fired. But if he had a valid source, then firing seems a bit harsh.
Maybe she can learn to code.
Nice to see jessica the hateful leftist get what she deserves for her fake news.
JoMa
IOW, within days she'll be part of The View. Thanks SamAdams76.
Kwong is gone but Newsweak still have big problem: Pay Too Low
Must suck getting held to truthful standards when the rest of the corrupt media can lie, lie, lie.
