He’s right when he says Biden doesn’t have it... the reality is NO democrat is winning 2020... there is no path... short of a complete economic meltdown or some black swan event of that magnitude... Best case for Dems is about 15 states plus DC, and that was before the impeachment nonsense.... worst case is they may not even get 10 states... and honestly they are looking far closer to worst case than best case... and that’s REGARDLESS fo who the eventual nominee is.

2008 the GOP wasn’t going to win.. wouldn’t have mattered who ran. Anger at Bush has alienated too much of the middle and the base.... THe GOP was PUNISHED in 2008 for the bush years, which helped the Dems...
2012, those that were angry at them, had seen the alternative and mostly came home, but the candidate they ran wasn’t strong enough or dedicated enough to get it done.
So, you can make the argument that 12 was a weak candidate, but in 08, no GOP candidate was likely to win.
