After Hong Kongs pro-democracy camp scored a landslide victory in the citys district elections on Nov. 25, Chinese state media have largely kept silent, omitting news of the result in its reports.
The citys residents turned out in record numbers on Nov. 24 to hand pro-democracy parties a resounding victory in the district council elections. Democratic candidates won 388 out of 452 district seats, with over 260 seats swinging to the pro-democracy camp.
More than 2.94 million Hongkongers voted, amounting to a record turnout rate of 71.23 percent, resulting in hours-long queues from the polling station extending for blocks. The vote was widely seen as a referendum on the ongoing protest movement against Chinese encroachment into the city.

They know how to read what is "not said".
They know the elections went badly for the Chinese Communist Party.
Chinese Communist Party owns everything and everybody so It Don’t Make No Difference
They forgot Stalin’s observation that what matters is who counts the votes. Like our Democrats, they’ll work on that in the future.
If they had a Donald Trump they would have elected him.
Wonder which countries have blocked this news.
Our mainstream media was also quiet on this pro-freedom election.
Here are 3 dumb questions.
1)I have heard some guy is the richest entrepreneur in China. I thought capitalists earned wealth but Marxist Leninists had equality for all the masses. How many such millionaires does China have?
2) I thought there was no reason for Chinese to vote because the winner is “the Communist”,who defeated “the Other Communist”.
What if a non-Communist ran and defeated Xi? How is that prevented? Or is this news merely about voting in Hong Kong only which always results in “do what mainland China tells you, Hong Kong” after the votes are counted?
3) If China has entrepreneur billionaires and millionaires along with downtrodden poor peasants, and China has elections, then how is China different from the U S?
(Not saying I prefer the rotten scum, just asking. Told you it was dumb of me.)
Heard it on various outlets. Next step for China is to open re-education camps for the Hong Kong protesters like other dissidents.
My prediction is that they will eventually give the facade of democracy even is its not real.
They colluded with America!
You can be as rich as you want, the trick is getting your money out of China.
1. Some guy invented Some guy moo pen.
2. The square root of 7.
3. We wear hats.
Somebody said the hundreds of thousands of overseas tourists (Commie enablers!) have to pay for everything with debit cards for money deposited within Chinese banks only. Or Chinese credit card accounts. No US or other banks. Helps China’s economy a lot.
To get money out of China as you said:
That’s easy. I’ll give you Hunter Biden’s cell phone number. He’ll arrange it for a service fee. He launders it at a local Chinese restaurant. Financial Record for November: Egg roll wrappers, a few thousand overseas bucks, fortune cookies, a little more cash. Everything looks sort of legal, mostly.
Fidel Castro was one of the top twenty wealthiest person in the world when he died.
Socialism is about a few people being very rich and most being very poor.

It would not be allowed. This news about voting in Hong Kong is ONLY about Hong Kong because when the Chi-Coms took it over from the UK it was with stipulations.
3) If China has entrepreneur billionaires and millionaires along with downtrodden poor peasants, and China has elections, then how is China different from the U S?
So did the USSR.
Does that answer your questions?
I wonder why they keep quiet.
They can use this election result as propaganda.
“So, what was the point of the protests? The Hong Kong people are
Able to vote for their candidates today as this election proves, even
under Chinese rule. “, they can say.
They can then lambast the evil USA and the west for being behind the riots to destabilize China when in fact, HK had Democracy all along.
Thanks Frank, really appreciate the financial advice.LOL!
It has been rumored everywhere that Jack Ma was forced out of Alibaba by the Party.
Of course, officially, he said he stepped down on his own accord.
Good answers.
So glad my wife and I made the right decision to
go to Montreal for our honeymoon and not Moscow like Bernie Sanders. Can you imagine him doing that and running for President?
I personally heard the tourist stories of three separate local Dems who returned from vacations in China (had to hold myself down from expressing anger at them for it). Third one said “There are a lot of people in China who have strong desires for a lot of things they don’t have. Something is going to have to happen to get them those things or I don’t know what’s going to happen over there.”
Sounded similar to the few stories about Iran we hear. Like the brief Arab Spring stuff, too.
Think of the size of a true mass revolt in China. Not just one guy standing in front of a tank. We never found out how many Chinese “disappeared” after that time.
My first thought: and how is Chinese State Media any different from our own?
