National Enquirer company chief David Pecker talking with New York prosecutors

(CNN) — David Pecker, the head of the company that publishes the National Enquirer, has spoken with prosecutors with the New York district attorney's office as part of its investigation into the Trump Organization's handling of hush money payments to women who alleged affairs with President Donald Trump, sources with knowledge of the meeting tell CNN.

The America Media Inc. chairman's late October meeting with prosecutors from the major economic crimes bureau could provide key details on discussions that took place involving Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who allegedly had an affair with Trump, and agreements that were made with former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, the sources said.

Cohen is cooperating with the investigation. Pecker is expected to continue talking with prosecutors, sources said.

The meeting between Pecker and the local prosecutors shows that investigators are still trying to connect the dots between Trump and the hush money payments. The meeting could result in Pecker being a potential critical witness down the road in any legal action against Trump or the Trump Organization.

Who gets involved with someone so that person can then go on and make money dishing out personal information on you.

We fine companies millions for less. We file slander and libel lawsuits for this stuff. Delberate defamation of character and profiting off it at the same time.

NY Democrat prosecutors have been digging and digging and have yet to find anything actionable.

The fact they’re quizzing a tabloid shows they got nothin.’

I do recall how a woman reacted by the same thing, sleeping with a female staffer, resigned from congress. Upset her info got released, not that she did it. Was looking into lawsuits for the evidence of her scandal and behavior going public.

I do recall how Planned Parenthood reacted to the truth of their baby parts operation going public. By their own words in an undercover journalism investigation.

Nothingburger. Confidentiality agreements are de rigeur among celebrities and people who sue them and they’re commonplace.

Nothing illegal about them.

The point is not actionable, it’s about embarrassment. This will give the media an excuse to print this nonstop. What they don’t realize is that realistically NO.ONE.CARES but them. The hypocrasy of it is astounding. For all of these years they still cover for Bill Clinton, yet try to criminalize President Trump paying someone off.

I suspect Pecker will sell the story rights he bought in due time for far more than he paid for them.

Does the state hosting the NYSE have a problem with making investments?
