I keep reading that in a senate trial the minority must approve any called witnesses. I’ve read that McConnell has the ability to override this. If this is true, I assume there would be a vote. Is this perhaps why the president met with Willard and Collins today?
Why hasn’t some prosecutors in the DOJ just indicted Schiff and Pelosi by now for subversive coup, sedition, breach of oath???????? A hate crime???? What questions could they ask which would be answered in a way that would cut through the news cycle? It would be, more-or-less a repeat of what we’ve already heard. “I heard from so-and-so the President tried to bribe Ukraine and I didn’t like it.”
If the GOP gets the chance to call witnesses, what they need to do is put the focus on Biden and Burisma and the legitimacy of the President’s request for an investigation.
Calling the whistleblower does nothing other than get a news cycle of “GOP outs whistleblower, what bad dudes.”
