Officer DEFIES Trump's Pardon For Eddie Gallagher And Sends His Case Before Military Board
The Daily Mail ^ | 11/19/19

A top Navy SEAL officer is defying President Donald Trump’s defense of Chief Petty Officer Eddie Gallagher by sending his controversial case to a military review board which could result in his ultimate expulsion from the SEALs.

On November 15 Trump reversed the demotion of Gallagher, a Navy SEAL who acquitted of murder this summer, and restored his title of Chief Petty Officer. The president also pardoned two other officers jailed for war crimes as well.

Trump’s grant of executive clemency has been harshly criticized over violations of international humanitarian law.

Despite the Commander in Chief's pardon, Rear Admiral Collin Green, the head of the Navy Special Warfare Command, is taking the matter before a military board.

'This is a review of their suitability to be a SEAL,' an unnamed Navy officer said to CBS News, adding the review has the backing of both the secretary of the Navy and the chief of Naval Operations.

Despite the Commander in Chief's pardon, Rear Admiral Collin Green

"Thank you, Admiral Green, for your many years of work on behalf of American national security. Your services are no longer required, Captain Green. Enjoy your retirement, Lieutenant Green.
-PRESIDENT Donald J Trump."

OK … That's what should happen.

Thanks.

court marshaled

When Big Media does stuff like this, we rip on them for being ignorami, and idiots, and not having editors. And rightly so.

COURT MARTIAL … a military, as opposed to civilian, court for trying accusations of crime.

President Trump restored his rank, but the navy still gets to decide if he can be a SEAL.

Exactly. The Admiral's actions and statements do not countermand the president's grant of executive clemency.

My recollection of history is that leaders of some other countries executed military officers that were disloyal. Hitler and Stalin come to mind, however in those cases it is doubtful if the deceased were given a fair trial, if any at all.

I recommend Vindman, Green and the likes be given the fairest possible trial for treason before being hung. I’m really tired of this crap.

My political wet dream is for Trump to be re-elected with a strong conservative majority in the Congress. Then he goes scorched earth in cleaning out the Obama era federal bureaucratic , military and judicial holdouts.

The game isn’t over yet....

I haven’t even heard the fat lady warming up to sing.

Apparently, our Military needs some daylight, also, along with removing the Deep State.

It’s a review board, yet everyone on here is acting as if it’s a general court martial.

This is SOP for everyone.

He’s still in the Navy, he still has his rank.

Methinks the military brass should be purged of its leftists. We have the treason of Obama to thank for that.

The hundreds of military officers purged by Obozo is why we have this insubordination in the ranks. Obozo got rid of all the patriots and replaced them with his liberal minded syncophants. He and Jarrett sunk their fangs deep into all parts of our society. Why this country let him into the WH, not once but twice, is something the country will have to live with for a long, long time. His sole mission was to transform America into a Communist state and he got a long way down the road before his time ran out.

One action is military justice domain, the other is administrative domain. Plenty of people have avoided punitive discharges only to be administratively discharged or relieved of specialty designations. It’s Charlie Sierra, but it’s legal.

It is unclear where the military stands on Trump, or at least where the E ring stands.

Governing law is Title 10 Section 1370.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/10/1370

O5 and higher requires 3 years but can be waived to 2 years. O4 and below is 6 months.

One way to discharge yourself by promoting your A$$ - he is going to be demoted and retired, but not before losing the confidence of the rest of the Seals. Overriding a US President is a career ending proposition; especially for an Obama promotee.

The answer is very simple. Cashier the rear admiral. He obviously doesn’t get it that the military is subordinate to civilian authority.

Once his career is broken, others will start to get it. The president is the commander in chief. He is your boss. Obey orders or you’re fired.

At Fort Bragg the mood is positive. The mission of constant war and trampling International Law by Obama/Hillary and Clinton between Yugoslavia and Libya has taken it’s toll. Pres. Clinton used to disarm the entire military base, to include the MP’s, days before his visits to military units. What President Clinton was paranoia, but Democrat’s SOP is paranoia.

In Green’s mind they are above the President’s pay grade. Such an Admiral should be busted in rank and expelled from any military association. Green is showing himself to be servant to the deep state oligarchy, not to America.
