When it goes to the Supremes, Trump usually wins.

It sets an awful precedent if granted.

It makes the IRS a political investigation arm.

It’s not in America’s interest to have the President subjected to witch hunts originating from the States.

OK, can someone please explain to me this obsession with Trump’s tax returns?

What do they intend to prove anyway?

If there were any anomalies or violations of the tax codes, isn’t it the job of the IRS to flag this?

And if the IRS discovered anything wrong, isn’t it the business of the Trump organization to settle this with the IRS and nobody else’s?

Seems an overly broad fishing request given the allegations they are looking into.

Anyone know why only temporarily? Does the SCOTUS need a full hearing before making a final decision?

President Trump, in their minds, is clearly guilty.

They just haven’t found the crime YET.

If state prosecutors can’t prosecute a foreign diplomat, I don’t see how they can prosecute a sitting president

What are the allegations being looked into? Was this the campaign finance issue with Stormy Daniels that I thought was already settled?

I can’t imagine Congress critters finding problems in tax returns AFTER they have been approved by the IRS. They are just FISHING.

The Left just wants to see if there’s anything they can spin to embarrass the President.

No, you do not have the right to demand tax information from anyone, and the president is no exception. That information is provided to the IRS for the purpose of paying taxes. You do not have the right to see it. There is an inherent expectation of privacy in it.

If I were Trump, I would have said that, and refused to comply.

Their hatred knows no bounds. I’m hoping it leads to their downfall.

RE: The Left just wants to see if there’s anything they can spin to embarrass the President.

The one motive that was openly stated is the one that Alec Baldwin mused : Trump isn’t really a billionaire.

OK, let’s say he’s just worth a few hundred million, what then?

Hi AM -

It looks as though it is temporary to allow the politicians a chance to respond. In other words, the “stay” was given without hearing all sides. See the full story link I posted. It is interesting to me to see the scramble to see if it diverts the Impeachment Inquiry.

Roberts is bad. I doubt he will rule for Trump. It doesn’t take 5 justices to issue a stay like this.
