Christine Blasey Ford accepted the Robert Baldwin Courage Award on Sunday night from the Southern California chapter of the ACLU, thanking the organization for its “leadership in the struggle” in a rare public appearance since coming forward last year to accuse Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.
“When I came forward last September, I did not feel courageous.” Blasey Ford said. “I was simply doing my duty as a citizen, providing information to the Senate that I believed would be relevant to the Supreme Court nomination process. I thought anyone in my position would of course do the same thing.”
Ford cited the example of Anita Hill as an inspiration, said that she was prepared to be dismissed for her uncorroborated testimony, and thanked “over 200,000 people from across our country and around the world” who sent her “messages of support, many handwritten, sharing their own stories of assault and abuse.”

Well deserved as is does take courage to blatantly lie to try to ruin a man and his family in front of a national audience.
Not to mention, flying on an airplane to get there and being in a room with only one door.

It takes courage to stand before the country and be proven a liar.
It takes a lot of courage to brazenly lie to the whole World for profit and fun.
An ACLU Courage Award means about as much as Barack Obama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, for what?

I’ve wondered about that. Why did she not write a book? Why did she never go on “60 Minutes”, or go yakk it up with Whoopi and Joy and the gang on “The View”? She dropped out of sight after the hearings, back to her safe house with the two front doors. I thought that was odd, as she became such a celebrity at the time of the Kavanaugh hearings.
Just saying, this issue of “sex harrassment” and “Me too” has still been in the news, and it seemed to me she could become a leader in the media for that movement. But it didn’t happen.
Y’all remember Blasey Ford is the granddaughter of the man, Ralph Blasey, who handled the financing of the CIA breaking away from the FBI. She is handling recruitment of CIA at Stanford.
anita hill was as much of a liar as her. They both got rewarded for their perjury. The aclu serves no useful purpose.
Well, you can’t do the victory tour if you don’t get a victory.
Did she fly there?
The ACLU Courage Award is way down there with the Peace Prize.
And probably hopped a plane to get there.
