The poll shows Buttigieg leading the pack of 2020 Democrats with 25 percent of the vote — nine points ahead of second-place candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Former Vice President Joe Biden is now in third place with 15 percent of the vote, as well as Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Trump promoted Boot Edge Edge early on as he taught one of his rallies how to pronounce the name. He says he regretted calling out Pocahontas, but he'd have an easier time against Boot Edge Edge. Specifically Boot Edge Edge is not going to inspire a million college age women to vote twice, once in their home state and a second time in their college state like PA or OH.

I think he may fool everyone and get the nod.

and maybe you TRUST a country that voted for obama twice.

I THINK 60 percent of the people are fairly normal.

But they weren’t only 11 and 7 years ago.

That’s too close in the past for comfort.

Wait till he gets to the states with large Black and Latino populations ... that’s where the Butty-gig machine runs into a wall

“The South Bend Mayor has enjoyed strong fundraising...”

The sexual pervert will never want for funding, thanks to the well organized homosexual contingent in this country.

ALL the advocacy groups know how to stay united and vote as a bloc, except for white. traditional leaning Americans. They are too stupid.

IOWA is NEIGHBOR to Indiana, so it would be ‘normal’, having some affinity with agro problems in the area. I don’t think he will make it ‘out’ of Iowa. The Des Moines Register gave us Jimmy Carter, and they will again try to pick the candidate for the Democrats. Good luck.

"What have the Democrats in Iowa been smoking? " I read an article saying that the Democrats were seeking the candidate who was the most "intersectional." The remaining three candidates have zero intersectionality and, thus, aren't in the running for that requirement. To help explain that idiocy, here is the definition. intersectionality [ˌin(t)ərsekSHəˈnalədē] NOUN the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage. "through an awareness of intersectionality, we can better acknowledge and ground the differences among us"

Perhaps the “poll” was taken in the Register newsroom...

His most inane ramblings will be heralded as Shakespearean in exactly the same way Obama’s were. And, like Obama, the woke media will ignore the war zone that is his home city.

Probably polled in college areas, as usual.

For dems, it's all about whipping up the emotions and getting the vote fraud machines working overtime. Boot Edge Edge isn't going to do that. There were certainly people who rolled the dice on the clean articulate guy in 08, but fewer did so in 2012. The vote fraud machine was stilll running full steam though, and the immigrants came out for him.

With Boot Edge Edge he inspires nobody except the 2% happy people, sorry, gay people, plus many suburban liberals and some of the foreigners. But blacks? No chance. Go watch his slum hall or town hall or whatever it was with the blacks beating him up for shooting an armed black guy. They despise him, except the handful of suburban liberal blacks.

Boot Edge Edge will help some House races because those suburban districts will buy into his nonsense. But he isn't going to fool 2016 Trump voters.

This illustrates what's fundamentally wrong with the process. Pollsters shouldn't be "surprised". They're suppose to be totally objective and refrain from drawing conclusions before a poll has been taken.

The Dems have three candidates who seem less tainted by the process than the rest of the pack. They would be PeteB, Tulsi, and Yang. Now the power brokers are throwing Bloomberg and Deval Patrick into the mix. One can't help be suspect that it's to create total chaos so that they can choose the candidate in a brokered convention.

What have the Democrats in Iowa been smoking?

The same thing the Republicans in Kentucky who elected a Democrat governor were smoking.

Well, I’m sure the five candidates who are senators will
Have no problem regaining traction while McConnell has them cooing their heels in the senate trial six days a week starting about 6 weeks from now. Heh heh heh.
Play stupid games.. Well, you know

"IOWA is NEIGHBOR to Indiana.."

Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota... Really messed up states politically speaking... Sometimes it seems the fairer they get, the dumber they get.. Maybe blond jokes need to make a comeback.. :)

Saint Pete is the rare dem candidate (Tulsi is the other ) who can make a case in a quasi-rational way and does not seem bat-sheeeeite crazy like all the rest. Ultra-liberal, as one would expect of a gay man, which will only get him so far.

Cant wait to see how Buttgig does in South Carolina, where half of the Democrat voter are black (not his best group of supporters due to his record on race relations), and those blacks also aren’t too hot on his chosen ‘lifestyle’.
